Since we are already college students we are one step closer to being real adults, studying NSTP is
important for us and our future. It is important because it helps us develop our ethics of service and
patriotism which we can use as we become adults in the future. NSTP also prepares us to be socially
aware and responsible individual members of the community. NSTP influences students’ self-
improvement, performance, community involvement, and demonstration of skills and abilities to an
extent. Studying is important for us students became it teaches us to be part of the community and as a
resident of the country. If NSTP is not taught in college, it would have a negative impact on the growth
of the student, they may not know how to be socially aware of the community. They would lack the
knowledge of leadership and patriotism that could benefit the country that they are living at. In other
words, NSTP is for not only the community’s benefit, but it is also for the student.
