Lastly and equally important is the problem of having inadequate technical and soft skills among

new graduates. Nowadays, most of the companies choose the fresh graduates with good
background of soft skills rather than those without soft skills. It is known fact that, communication
skills are almost high on the essential skills list in any job advertisement in Malaysia. This is because
soft skills are personal attributes that influence how well people can work and make it easier to form
relationship with others. For example, those who wish to pursue a career in business will not only
need to have an in-depth understanding of business systems and be able to analyse big data. They
also need to have soft skills competencies too, such as being able to communicate in collaborating
with others country. Other than lack of soft skills among the graduates, having inadequate technical
can also contribute to unemployment problems. This is because the technical skills are important
especially in technology due to the ongoing advanced technology development in our country. For
instance, most of the work eligibility requirements considers software proficiency as one of the
compulsory skills to know mainly when the job includes presentations and the use of communication
tools. Therefore, inadequate technical and soft skills are important simultaneously can help the
graduates in Malaysia to get better jobs oppurtunities.
