Officers Training Seminar was successfully held in Goa and I was so delighted to meet and interact the custodians of all the Zones in the capacity of Zone President and ZVP’s. Most beautiful moments were the kind of passion and exuberance being seen in this team of 2021 was something really amazing and I am sure with such terrific passion and love for organization this team is certainly going to come out with flying colours and they are going to create new benchmark in the history of JCI India, Heartiest Congratulations to all the Zone Presidents and Zone Vice Presidents for your successful participation. Lot of LOM Installations are happening, lot of projects have been initiated and lot of events have started and that speaks volumes about the commitment of our LOMs because still there is fear of COVID in the back of the mind and it is your zeal, it is your desire and it is your love which is making things happen, as it has been rightly said “If you can think, you can, you can”and yes you are thinking in the right direction and you are all heading towards the right path and this journey of one future is certainly looking very encouraging and colourful. Tt was such a pleasure to see the members of the National Governing Board participating with lot of the enthusiasm in the Second NGB held at Goa and that showed that they came very well prepared with their reports, with their Plan of actions, with their recognition plan and that itself proves that this NGB of 2021 is team with difference who will go on to create miracles and will be known as ONE FUTURE Team who can create records in the entire year. It was an icing on the cake to see the NOM Coordinators participating from every comer of JCI India in the NOM Coordinators Training workshop as they are going to lead various portfolios during the year and they are going to share their vision and plan across JCI India. Leaders are ones who inspire people, who guide people, who create vision for people, who set the direction for the people, who make people achieve their goals. He i one who owns up his people in as much as the people own him up. We can recall the famous line from the Spider Man movie “with great power comes great responsibility". Be it office home or in any organization, a person can be called a successful leaderwhen he gets the toughest or the nastiest job done in the nicest possible manner, This can happen when he uses his power to discharge his responsibility only. In short it can be said that leadership means caring for others, because NOBODY CARES FORHOW MUCH YOU KNOW, UNTIL THEY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CARE. Thave been serving in various organizations and different leadership capacities. During my tenure in JCLas the Zone President I progressively learnt and implemented many qualities that a leader should possess. I shall now share it as as ABC point formula: 1. Accountability: The very year in which year I was Zone president a movie of Mahesh Babu was released with the title| Bharat ane nenu. In this movie, the hero harps on accountability. A leader should always give the credit of success to] his team and in case of any mis happenings take the blame onto himself. This is for the reason that his team's perfor- ‘mance is the result of his direction or lack of it. Not pointing fingers at anyone below his position is tough quality to process and a leader needs it. In place of saying he did not do a leader should be able to hold himself responsible and say I could not make him do, This is the courage and guts of a transparent leader. So remember never blame anyone, always give credit to others, appreciate them for whatever little or more they have done, and never ever back talk or criticize. 2. Balance: Another powerful word that is directly proportional to successful leadership is exercising balance. A leader should know what to pay attention to and what to ignore, whom to tell what, and whom to tell when. Excessive care love concern or otherwise puts us on extreme ends of being either too much or too little. Therefore, JCI teaches to give not all what you have, but only what they need. Leadership being a quality and position being responsibility itis for us not to make quick decisions at times or to keep calm at times. When what and how comes with assertiveness and understanding the cause, not by judging the effect. My dear friends understand both sides and all sides of every situ- ation before making a decision on what to do and how to do. Take your time nothing is urgent, everything is important. 3. Compassion: Disapproval and hatred always led to wars and battles. Winning such battles could be heroes quality, definitely not a leader's virtue. A leader realizes that the subjects are his people are his own and they belong to him. Pardoning for excusing their misdeeds and having gratitude towards whatever little or more they contribute is one great virtue of human being, never the less of a leader. If there is anybody who dislike us, then always up to us to make up with them, only then they can accept us as their leader. It is for us to understand that such person is struggling to cope up with either our position or our performance, and therefore we should help them over come their struggle. This can happen only when we are non judgmental about a person coma not getting into what is right and what is wrong or who is right and who is wrong, and accepting the other person from their structure and level and finally helping them grow from there. Involuntary organization punishment and belittling the other person or exposing their ignorance is only a losers quality not that of a leaders. We cannot humble anybody down under the garb of mentoring them or teaching them. And finally my friends remember always to enroll others into your life be it at office for business or family| and make them aware of everything that you do. This will breathe their support and also give you lots of confidence to go ahead because finally all leaders need moral and emotional support. Identify the place >Meet the potential members and decide the name of the LOM. »Send Email for the title clearance to NHQ. > Organize Orientation meeting after getting title clearance from NHQ. > Orientation for the new members should be conducted by a National Traines/Past JCI India Officer not below the rank of ZVP or Excel graduate appointed by the ZP. >Certificate by the orientation officer should be sent to NH. >An ad hoc committee consisting of President, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice Presidents has to be formed in the orientation meeting. >The sponsoring LOM must coordinate with the ad hoc committee to finalize the membership list of minimum 20 member. >The sponsoring LOM must organize an election meeting of the new LOM in consul- tation with the ad hoc committee and the office bearers have to be elected as per the guideline of the model LOM constitution. >The affiliation papers should be forwarded after election to NHQ through your ZP. >The affiliation Paper consists of Affiliation application forms filled by the applicant. >List of members with their complete address and signature. >Orientation certificate. >Resolution by the applicant showing that they are adopting JCI India's Model LOM Constitution. >LGB Resolution from the sponsor LOM, for the formation of LOM under JCI India. >Membership fee of @ Rs.826/- per member, per half Including GST. >Minimum 20 members required. > Affiliation fee of Rs.118(/-(GST included). >The NHQ will grant Provisional affiliation to the New LOM within a week after receiving all the documents in hard copy. A. Help and guide the new LOM to conduct activities for one year. B. Visit the new LOM once in a month. C. Invite Zone G&D Coordinator to visit the LOM. D. New LOM members will be invited for the Zone Events. E. Keep them informed about the Zone & National Events. F.Arrange Trainers for ID Courses. G. Invite them inall programs. H. Provide publication, I, Provide Financial Assistance (if needed) till the new LOM become permanently affiliated. J. Appoint a committee/care taker to take care of the New LOM. _ K. Once you {find yourself you will never feel alone. 3~ Learn a new language: It's a very easy task but going to make your mind ope: {for newness. Though you'll learn only the basics but will feel like you've entered anew world. 4- Create a new hobby} Develop a new hobby that you never tried. It's a kind of mental exercise that will be a kind of meditation for you, 5- Start a Community project: Start a good community project under your leadership. It will help you to understand many} issues faced by many people in society and you'll come to know that yours is not that big in front of many around. 6~ Confront your fear: everyone fears something in life. We had an attendance of more than 500 including children's, Created an ever lasting, bonding between new members and old members. Created a unique moment where children could enjoy their parents wed- ding in real life. Children enjoyed to the fullest in Rain Dance, Haldi event as well as danced their hearts away in Sangeet Sandhya. One of the best welcomes till date done by JCI was our brain child, everyone were excited and happy even before entering the venue. We had arranged food of different verities throughout the day. Not every father is blessed to perform Kanyadaan, the JCI Hyderabad Deccan aimed to double the joy of 3 families who are financially incapable of performing Kanyadaan. The Jert Wing planned for Kanyadaan for 3 under privileged girls who are about to get married. Under this project, all necessary household items and basic electronic products along with appropriate bridal clothing, jewellery for marriage was gifted to the 3 girls by the hands of our Respected National President Rakhi Jain Madam. In addition to this special skill development training classes will also be given to them so that they can sustain their respective families post marriage and be independent financially.
