I appreciate how some authors shed light on how new technologies are adversely

affecting our societies by introducing new psychological problems.

These technologies not only provide us with open-sourced information but also
foster open-sourced insecurity, self-doubt, and shame. Nowadays,
people are losing their moral compass, and their perceptions of life are shifting
in concerning ways. People are now evaluating others based on
appearance rather than intellect, focusing solely on the visual image. I'm not
suggesting that appearance is unimportant; on the contrary,
it holds significance. However, it's not the sole determinant of a person's worth.
How people communicate, think, and demonstrate respect for
themselves and others is what truly matters.

Social media is no longer merely a means of communication and information sharing;

it has evolved beyond that. it has become an influencer on people,
both positively and negatively. It not only shapes the way entire societies think
but also catalyzes change in numerous aspects, including politics and social
dynamics, etc. Social media has become an influence on society, often with negative
consequences. It's reported that the average internet user spends
nearly 2½ hours daily on social media platforms. Personally, I know individuals who
spend over 4 hours daily, leading me to question if they engage in other
activities or have a fulfilling life outside of social media.

Social media has detrimental effects on many societies worldwide, and it is evident
that stricter regulations and sanctions are necessary.
Certain individuals, often referred to as 'TikTokers' or 'Facebookers,' have been
known to disrupt lives and spread harmful content, highlighting
the need for intervention. We truly need to safeguard the next generations, as the
moral fabric of our world is deteriorating. We strive for better
societies where superficiality is not the norm, where individuals respect
themselves and others, and where harmony prevails over discrimination.
