“WHERE TO INVADE NEXT – DOCUMENTARY”

BY MICHAEL MOORE.

A: - Good evening everybody welcomes to our culture Colombian TV show, my name is

------------, and this night we have Michael Moore as our special guest. He is a popular American
writer, film and documentary maker that travels around the world. He has visited different
countries and cities to rescue values, historic and important moments, traditions that allow world
to be better. How are you Mr. Moore?

B: - Hello everybody. It is a pleasure to be here with you this night. I’ll tell you some great
experiences related to policies, costumes, social opportunities of other countries and how we can
implement some ideas in beautiful Colombia.

A: - That’s perfect, thanks so much. We can begin talking about the countries you present in
your documentary called “WHERE TO INVADE NEXT?”

B: - Of course I began my documentary in Italy, in this place I met with a couple of just married.
They told me they had fifteen days paid vacation for their honeymoon.

A: - really? It is wonder I think that Colombians enterprises should apply this policy too. We
could enjoy and share our just married if they implement this rule.

B: - It’s true also Italians employees have eight weeks paid vacation at year and in December
they have an additional salary. The Government must pay all the employers two extra months
like in Italy.

A: - I feel that it is very motivating for people because they can share Christmas time with their
family without worries about money. Our companies could give us more days of vacations.

B: - It is true. I interviewed Ducati CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and he affirms “there is no
clash between the profit of the company and the well – being of the people” and “It´s important
to work next to people that are smiling”. I agree with him.

A: - In Colombia there are different enterprises that do not remunerate the employer’s effort and
it causes stress and sickness. It seems to me that government should encourage one politic work
to improve people conditions.

B: - It could be possible if government would work it. In Germany for example, people only
work 36 (thirty-six) hours a week and pay for 40(forty) hours.

They´re so concerned that the workplaces created so much stress that under German universal
health care system the people can get to the doctor to write a prescription for a free three week
stay and a spa.

A: - In my view this encourage happiness and the work is better. I believe that taking more time
for relaxing, we are not going to be sick.

B: From France I would steal these ideas:

De Francia podría tomar estas ideas.

In schools, children have to share with each other one hour while they are eating.

A: I think that is important to have time to eat and share, and not only twenty minutes to eat fast.
The food for our children has to be the best.

B: - Now we can talk about education. There are many education problems in different countries.
I had the opportunity to visit Finland, nowadays it is the best education country. They have tried
some new ideas and in no time, Finland shot the top ow world education.

A: - How did they do that?

B: - I spoke with minister education and she blurted out their top secret, “They do not have
homework”.

A: - Ohhh…. that’s incredible. I believe that we need to implement new strategies to improve in
our level education. How many hours a day did the Finn youngers go to school?

B: - They go for three or four hours at day. Finland students have the shortest school days
education in the entire western union. Also, they don’t have multiple choice exams. Standardized
exams no necessary for level education. They decided what to learn for their lives and likes.

A: - We must change traditional education methods if we want to transform our youngers.

B: - I agree with that. Another great country to study is Slovenia. The university education is
totally free for youngers.

A: Oh wow, in Colombia it is a dream for many persons. The government should spend taxes in
free education.

B: - I have visited many countries where the human dignity is the most important aspect for the
government.

From Portugal, I would like people don´t consume drugs.

A: Government has to implement strategies to diminish the addition. What another country did
you visit?

B: From Norway, We can create good citizen, people that don´t save revenge in their hearts. I
Think that love can change our bad feelings.

A: Prisoners should have good deal in the prisons. In my point of view, we can steal this idea
because our prisoners here in our country are mutineers, their food is not in good condition.

B: - From Tunisia in North Africa, Women can protest for their rights

A: Here in our country women can protest but I do not agree when they protest about abort. In
many countries this action is legal, but I do not agree.

A: I hope you can continue tell us many more things at next TV show. For today our time is
over. Thanks everybody for your connection and attention. See you later next time. Thanks so
much Mr. Michael for sharing your experience with us.

B: - It was a pleasure. I hope we can continue talking next time. Bye bye.

TO CONCLUDE

This video is a good resource to show many different aspects from many countries around the
world. Is a comparison between another countries and USA, and my Country Colombia.

Many ideas that may be we could change if we have power.

It was interesting to know that in other places people can have relaxing jobs, and better
payments.
