WHAT TO TAPE

We’re looking for clever, characterful comedy bones. Each role represents each
supermarket’s own version of their caterpillar cake & it’s personality.
Every caterpillar is having a lovely time until Curthbert’s old rival Colin turns up … gulp
…

The script can be found in the same dropbox link as these instructions. Please make
sure you’re in a mid/close up shot and well lit. Play your eyelines just off camera and if
possible please could you get someone to read the lines with you.

Accent: RP/ Standard English

Character note: The original … He has a certain entailedness about him but you don’t
have to go too ‘posh’ with it. He is well aware that his arrival at the house party will
cause a stir. But he's here for it.

Please could you give us 3 takes of the script using the notes below as guidance:

- One that’s under played, subtle.

- Two that’s pushed dead pan
- Last one, however you like - Please add lib a word or two on this one to show off
a bit of character. A chance to show your comedy improv skills, BUT please be
clever and natural with it, and keep it short & sweet! A little goes a long way!
