Video Advertising

Introduction:
Video advertising is a form of marketing that uses short video content to promote
products or services. It can help businesses reach potential customers, increase brand awareness,
and drive sales. Video ads can be delivered in various ways, such as before, during, or after
streaming content on platforms like YouTube, Netflix, or Hulu. They can also be displayed on
websites, apps, or social media networks.

Some of the benefits of video advertising are:

 It can capture attention and engage viewers with high-quality visuals and sound.
 It can convey emotions and messages more effectively than text or images alone.
 It can showcase features and benefits of products or services in action.
 It can create a memorable impression and encourage repeat purchases.

Some of the challenges of video advertising are:

 It requires a lot of time, money, and resources to produce high-quality videos.

 It needs to comply with different regulations and standards across different platforms and
regions.
 It faces competition from other types of online content and formats.
 It may not suit every audience or product category.

This has happened to me many times. A website named “Shien” has some amazing offers
throughout the year. When it comes to festivals like Eid, Diwali, Christmas, etc. Shien started
giving some amazing deals on every product. Sometimes I can buy a top for 2/3$ only. These
deals and offers really made me buy some unnecessary stuff from the website. There are many
factors that influenced me to buy items from these websites. First, I would say the discount.
Because every time I go to any website, I start looking for discounts. Secondly, the BOGO offer
influenced me to buy some items in bulk amounts which I don’t need that much.

Targeted marketing, also known as personalized or behavioral advertising, aims to deliver

content or ads that are relevant to the individual user's interests, preferences, and behaviors. It
involves collecting and analyzing data on users' online activities to tailor advertising content
specifically to them. This type of marketing is designed to increase the likelihood of engagement
and conversion.

Factors influencing the effectiveness of targeted marketing include:

 Relevance: Users are more likely to respond positively to ads that align with their
interests, needs, or preferences.

 Timing: Delivering ads at the right moment in the user's decision-making process
can increase the chances of conversion.

 User Experience: Advertisements that seamlessly integrate with the user

experience are generally more well-received.
 Privacy Concerns: The effectiveness of targeted marketing is influenced by users'
perceptions of privacy. If users feel that their privacy is respected and that they
have control over their data, they may be more receptive to targeted ads.

 Quality of the Product or Service: Ultimately, the advertised product or service

must meet the user's needs or desires for the marketing to be effective.
