I hail from a city renowned for its harsh challenges - pollution, diseases, poverty, and crime.

Despite these adversities, the people of Dhaka possess an unparalleled spirit. Our sense of
community and kindness knows no bounds. In the face of overcrowding, we choose to live
together, sharing our lives and embracing diversity with open arms.

Now, I carry this unique perspective, overflowing with compassion and unity, to Rochester
University. With inherent social skills, generosity, and a nurturing nature, I aim to contribute to
the community through meaningful service. I believe that my experiences living with an
extended family will inspire others to embrace a similar ethos.

As I step into this new chapter, I bring the intersectionality of my identity to create my own path
and experience. This big-hearted perspective comes from navigating a city with all its challenges
while cherishing the warmth of its people.
