T20 TOURNAMENT

RULES BOOK
Greetings, cricket enthusiasts! We lcome to the T20
Cricket Tournament organized by PlayFit Sports. In this
Rules Book, we outline the regulations and guidelines
that will govern the u p com i n g tournament. Please
adhere to these rules to ensure a fair and enjoyable
competition.

The Executive Com mi ttee of PlayFit Sports shall oversee


the administration of this competition and have the sole
authority for the implementation and interpretation of
the rules and playing conditions. While we follow the
latest ICC standard playing conditions, in the event of
conflicts, the rules stipulated by PlayFit Sports shall
supersede.
FORMAT AND SQUAD
Matches will be played with red balls, white jerseys (mandatory), and white
pads (preferred).
The tournament follows a 20-over a side format, with the first 6 overs
designated as a powerplay .
All matches will be played on Turf wickets.
Teams earn 2 points for a win, 1 point for a no result. In the case of a tie, a
super over will determine the winner during the knockout stages; otherwise,
points will be shared.
All fixtures an d table updates will be handled by the PlayFit Com m ittee and
shared online via the CricHeroes website.
Team registration and scoring will be done online via CricHeroes.
Squad changes are allowed until the knockout stage.
Players who have played at least one league m atch are eligible for the
knockout stage.
Super Subs are allowed, but players must report before the ma t ch begins.
MATCH PROTOCOLS
All teams m u st wear white jerseys during tournament matches.
Batters are required to wear helmets.
Helmets are compulsory for wicketkeepers standing u p to the wicket.
Teams m us t adhere to m a t c h timelines, including toss time, m a t c h start time, and
time allotted to finish overs.
Teams should report 20 minutes before the ga m e time, with the toss occurring 15
minutes before the game.
A m i n i m u m of 6 players is required for the toss. If one t eam has fewer than 6
players by toss time, the other t eam will w in the toss. If both teams lack 6 players,
the toss goes to the te am that meets the criteria first.
Each tea m can field 12 players with one player as a supersub. The supersub must
be declared before the toss.
All teams m u s t respect the decisions of the umpires.
Teams m u s t bo wl 20 overs in 80 minutes m ax i mu m . After 80 minutes, only 4
players are allowed outside the inner circle.
Captains m u st submit m a t c h fees to the u mpire before the start of the match.
Teams reporting late will have 10 Runs reduced from their runs for every 5
minutes of delay.
MATCH PROTOCOLS
A m i n i m u m of 7 players is required to start the m a t c h for the fielding side, or 5 if
you are batting first.
Bowlers are allowed to wear spikes for mor ning 7 a m matches only not for 10:30
am start
Bowlers m u s t not mark the grass with spikes; use the provided disc for bowling
marks.
Batters are not allowed to play/bat with spikes.

New ICC Rules Applicable for Tournament


A n e w batter will take a strike in case of a wicket (caught
out). The n e w batter has a m a x i m u m of 90 seconds to take
strike.
LIST CRITERIA FOR PLAYERS ALLOWED TO PLAY
Only C-division Players are allowed, Players with visit visa not allowed to play
. Players above the age of 50 are allowed to play and no category is defined for
them.

PLAYER CLASSIFICATION (B DIV.)
The BATTER: (m in im u m 50 matches)
35 - 4 0 Average & 160+ Strike Rate
4 0 - 45 Average & 150+ Strike Rate
45 - 50 Average & 140+ Strike Rate
50+ Average & 130+ Strike Rate
Batters with 15000+ runs at any average a nd strike rate.
The BOWLER: (m in im u m 50 matches)
1.5 wickets per m a t ch (1: 1.5 - M:W) an d less than 7.5 economy
Bowlers with extra pace will be assessed by the organizer/committee.
Bowlers with 700+ wickets with any match-wickets ratio an d economy
The ALL ROUNDER: (m in im u m 50 matches)
35+ average, 150+ SR in batting & 1:1.2 wickets per match, a nd less than 8 economy
30+ average, 150+ SR in batting & 1:1.3 wickets, an d less than 8 economy
25+ Average, 150+ SR in batting & 1:1.4 wickets, an d less than 8 economy
5 00 wickets & 10000 runs regardless the SR, average, economy
OTHER:
Any player w h o has played 5-20 matches in any A Division Team(s) within the last 2
years will be considered as B division without counting their stats.
All players who have played under ECB/ Internationally organized tournaments
including T20, T10, D10, D50, etc., shall be considered B division players.
UMPIRES AND SCORERS
All matches will be officiated by 2 umpires from the PlayFit Umpiring Panel.
Scoring will be done in CricHeroes and will be live.
On-field decisions m a d e by the umpires are final, even in cases of h um a n
error.

GENERAL NOTES:
Drinks break will be taken on the 11th over of each batting innings, not
exceeding 5 minutes.
A 5-minute change of innings period will be allocated.
A forced power play of 6 overs at the beginning of the innings will apply with
only 2 players allowed outside the inner circle.
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
On-field violations or disciplinary actions will be decided by the on-field
umpires, and their decisions are final.
Only captains are allowed to approach and discuss matters with on-field
umpires.
Any player causing a disturbance on the ground, as reported by the on-field
umpire, will be banned for 3 matches by the committee.
If a team is unable to fulfill a fixture, a forfeit will be given to the opposing
team.
Schedule changes are only allowed in case of weather interruptions or
unplayable conditions.
Teams canceling matches (no-show) will be charged for the slot at the
match fee rate, and the opponent will be awarded 2 points.

PlayFit Sports reserves the right to review and upgrade rules and regulations.
