Useful points for this month of Rajab

An Important Spiritual Month:

Ask forgiveness and turn repentant to Allah Almighty

1) Fasting: It is highly recommended to fast in this month of Rajab even for one day at least.

2) Seeking Forgiveness (al-Istighfaar) The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alayhi Wasalam) used
to say: Rajab is a month of seeking forgiveness, so seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty; He is verily
the Forgiver, the Merciful. It is highly recommended to repeat 'Astaghfirullaah wa as-aluh at-tawbah'

3) Sadaqah and Charity: There is a big reward for Sadaqah and charity in the month of Rajab. Those
who cannot fast may give Sadaqah to the poor every day, or recite 'Subhana Ilalahil Jaleele Subhana
Man la Yanbaghil Tasbihu Illa Lahu; Subhanal A'azzinil Akrame; Subhana Man Labisal Izza wa Huwa
Lahu Ahlun.'

4) Repeating 'Laa ilaaha illa-Allah' 1000 times.

5) Repeating 'Astaghfirullaaha Dhul-Jalale wal-Ikraam min jami' adh-Dhunoube wal-Aadhaam' 1000

times.

6) Repeating Surat al-Tawhid 'Qul huwa Allahu Ahad' or Surat al-Ikhlas 1000 times to get the reward
of 1000 Angels and blessings on the reciter, his/her children, family and neighbours.

7) It is recommended to recite Surat al-Tawhid 'Qul huwa Allahu Ahad' or Surat al-Ikhlas 100 times
every Friday in the month of Rajab.

Praise be to the Almighty Allah and thanks to Him for granting us yet another opportunity to cleanse
ourselves of our sins and oversights.

Sheikh Hibatu'llah (may Allah bestow His mercy upon him) has informed us on good traditional
authority, Allah's Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) once said:

Rajab is one of the sacred months and its days are inscribed on the sixth gate of Heaven. So, if a man
has fasted during one day of this month, and if he has kept his fast completely clean through
obedient devotion [taqwa] to Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He), the heavenly gate will acquire the
faculty of speech, and the day itself will also acquire the faculty of speech, and the two of them will
say: "O Lord, forgive him!" But if he has failed to make his fast complete through obedient devotion
to Allah (Exalted is He), they will make no such plea for him to be forgiven. They will say, or he will be
told by some other voice: "Your own lower self [nafs] has betrayed you!"

The Prophet, peace and mercy be upon him, said, “There are five nights in which du’a (supplication)
is not rejected";
1. the eve of Rajab - Layla Ragha'ib-Night of Wishes
2. the 14th night of Sha’aban - Layla Bara'ah-Night Of Salvation
3. the eve of Friday, - Layla Jummah-Night of Friday Jummah
4-5. on the eve of Eid Al-Fitr, and on the eve of Eid Al-Adha.” Layla Jaiza - Night of Reward
