1 INTRODUCTION
This specification is intended to define the jobs to be performed in 4 small tools that are going
to be used in the FAL plant of the Falcon 10X and also to be the basis for working with the
SOW Deliverables Matrix (see it later).

In the case of a design, it is the supplier's obligation and responsibility to provide ARITEX with
a functional and cost-effective design that is free from error or misinterpretation.

2 SCOPE OF WORK

2.1 TO-27-521 (ELEVATORS ANGLE MEASUREMENTS)

This is a tool composed of two aluminium supports that is used on the HTP to measure the
angle of position between the HTP box and the elevator.

Complete 3D and 2D are sent, it only needs to be changed into Dassault Rules.

2.2 TO-55-210 (RUDDER ANGLE MEASURING):

This tool is used to measure the angle of position between the rudders and the VTP box. It is
made from an aluminum welded assembly and has electrical components embedded on it.

An advanced 3D design is going to be sent but it needs to be finished. 3rd case needs to be
designed but technical solution will be provided. It will consist of a commercial part as seen
on previous images or manufactured part as it is presented in the 3D sent.

3 CALCULATION
If the contracted design requires mechanical and/or structural sizing, the Supplier will provide
calculations to justify this.

During the execution of the project, the supplier must have this information ready, compiled
and sorted so that it can be sent to ARITEX at any time upon request.

4 STANDARDS
All deliverables shall comply with all the standards listed below. It is the supplier’s
responsibility to check the list of standards and to contact ARITEX for those that are not

5 GENERAL DESIGN CRITERIA

5.1 Tolerances selection and justification

The selection of manufacturing or assembly tolerances is the responsibility of the supplier and
must be justified as they will affect the cost of manufacturing the machine. They must be the
minimum necessary to meet the requirements specified by ARITEX.

ARITEX reserves the right to request justification reports for each of the tolerances used,
especially the most demanding ones.

5.2 Commercial Elements Brands

The brand names of the commercial elements to be used in the project must be agreed with
ARITEX.

5.3 Safety

Safety First. The design must take into account all the safety criteria and regulations listed in

AET-006-OF2_00535-TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION-FALCON HTP+VTP_FAL TOOLS_REV.01

PAGE 11
the standards section.

Safety criteria must be considered and prioritized for all phases of the project, such as machine
assembly, production use and maintenance.

In none of these phases must the operator be allowed to be exposed to any risk. Any risk of
accident during the life of the machine must be eliminated.

The supplier must consider the normal use of the machine, as well as reasonably abnormal
and maintenance use.

Any deviation in the design to meet these requirements may be claimed against the supplier.

All equipment must have its corresponding way of hoisting and transportation.

5.4 Ergonomics

Ergonomic criteria must be considered in the design of the machine. It is the supplier’s
responsibility to ensure compliance with the ergonomic standards listed in the Standards
section.

Consideration should be given to the working position under the conditions of use to avoid
operator discomfort, fatigue, and physical limitations.

If auxiliary equipment is required to comply with the ergonomics of the tool, it must also be
included in the supplier's design.

Any deviation in the design to meet these requirements may be claimed against the supplier.

5.5 Labeling

The design must include all the different labels in the 3D-2D included in the BoM:

- Aritex Tooling ID / CE Marking.

- Client Tooling ID / maintenance revision.

- Aritex branding.

- Safety stickers.

- Stencils and other markings.

Label models can be supplied by ARITEX.

5.6 (NA) Electrical-Pneumatical Elements

The design must show the major automation elements, such as actuators, energy chains,
connectors, sensors, limit switches, tubing and cable trays and valve packages. It must also
AET-006-OF2_00535-TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION-FALCON HTP+VTP_FAL TOOLS_REV.01

PAGE 12
include the cable glands or mounting holes required to accommodate these elements.

5.7 Non static elements

When the equipment contains hinged or moving parts, it is necessary to represent them in the
end and/or intermediate positions to ensure that there are no collisions with other elements of
the machine or station.

These elements must be outside the tooling tree such as environment or auxiliary as indicated
by the standard to be used.

This simulation may be performed manually or using some specific simulation software as
long as the deliverable allows ARITEX to obtain an evidence of auxiliary positions (usually in
transparent yellow), a photo or a video of the movement. The method chosen remains the
responsibility of the supplier if not otherwise specified in this chapter."

5.8 Metrology

Both the 3D models and drawings must include all the necessary information for the correct
identification of the elements to be measured, including manufacturing or commercial
measurement accessories.

In the case of the tolerance tables included in the drawings, they will be made according to
the tolerance chains that comply with the customer specifications and relaxing the tolerances
where they do not need to be strict (including the decomposition of the components in space
X, Y and Z).

6 QUALITY AND VALIDATION

6.1 Designs Review

It is the supplier's responsibility to review designs internally prior to submitting to submission

to ARITEX. All requirements and standards of this specification and the functionality of the
design must be verified by the supplier.

ARITEX will carry out design reviews as it deems appropriate during the project, either in
person at the supplier's premises by reviewing 3dxml or models sent by mail/FTP or via
Teams, and by validation.

The Supplier shall provide the required information on time and on quality.

Any deviation in the design to meet these requirements may be held against the supplier.
