The rapid economic growth and urbanization of Davao City have increased the demand for effective

congestion and the need for amplified user overall satisfaction. With that, the proposed addition of bus terminals in the
north and south area for regional buses could provide an innovative response to the problem, facilitated by city buses
functioning as the connectors to the downtown area. The context for this suggestion can be traced back to a

This study presents a holistic approach to redeveloping DCOTT into a Central City Bus Station, enhancing
passenger experience and comfort through spatial reconfiguration and urban integration. It focuses on optimizing the

alternatives to reduce congestion through high-capacity transportation and improved passenger experiences, the study
aims to future-proof the city’s transportation network. The study will also explore reusing brownfield lands for ecological

developments to limit urban sprawl and sustain economic opportunities. Therefore, the study will conduct interviews,
surveys, evaluate case studies, and ocular inspection to gather data.

user experience, improved functionality, and beneficial impacts among the passengers, drivers, tourists, and residents,
aiming for a more inclusive and sustainable future by implementing the design guidelines, policies, and standards
developed from the proposed central city bus terminal.

