VISION AND VISION STATEMENTS

A vision statement outlines a person’s or company's long-term goals and aspirations for the future, in
terms of long-term growth and impact on the world.

A Mission defines what you or your organization does, and what you stand for.

How to formulate a Vision and Mission Statement

Vision Statement

 Project five to 10 years into the future.


 Dream big, and focus on success.
 Use the present tense.
 Use clear, concise, jargon-free language.
 Infuse it with passion, and make it inspiring.
 Align it with your business values and goals.

Main elements of an effective vision statement:

 Forward-looking.
 Motivating and inspirational.
 Reflective of a company's culture and core values.
 Aimed at bringing benefits and improvements to the organization in the future.
 Defines a company's reason for existence and where it is heading.

How to formulate a Mission Statement

 Explain your company's product or service offering.


 Identify the company's/ your core values.
 Connect how you / your company's offering aligns with your values.
 Condense these statements into one.
 Make sure it's clear and concise.

Examples of Personal Mission Statements
