eager to cultivate the relevant knowledge and skills which will allow me to excel in my career,

which has led me to pursue a career in Investment Banking.

I possess strong knowledge of financial markets, which I began to build through investing in
Cryptocurrencies during my gap year. This stimulated my interest in understanding the
function of different asset classes and how they are impacted by key variables. I’m curious to
understand the ways in which the banking sector responds to changes that drive markets in
order to maximise success for clients and firm. I hope to develop the ability to apply
innovative approaches to provide solutions to challenges presented by the world’s dynamic
economic climate. I enjoy being challenged and look to bring my tenacious character to
excelling in a high pressure role.

Evercore’s commitment to providing exceptional service to clients, attracts me as I have a

passion for client-facing work. While we face rising interest rates and inflationary pressures, I
would like to learn more about the best advice and solutions which can be provided in order
to ensure continued prosperity. A report published entitled ‘Who’s Afraid of Inflation?’ by the
firm’s Investment Management division, stood out to me, as an example of how we can
utilise our expertise to best tame client fears. Comparison of the 1970s versus now, puts the
down turning economic climate into perspective. I’m excited to develop knowledge of the
sector, both technical and macro, in order to best serve clients and elevate concerns in any
economic climate.

Currently, I work as an analyst at student-led investment fund, ‘Twikker’, contributing to the

management and growth of over £200k in assets. Key responsibilities include performing
equity research, pitching buy/sell recommendations and monitoring portfolio holdings. I have
strengthened my analytical skills and commercial awareness. I have also learnt how to
perform financial modelling and financial valuation through DCF and Comps methods. I am
confident in bringing these skills to the programme at Evercore, and hope to build on them.
In my work at the fund, I often research and place trades on Yorkshire based companies,
which has given me insight into the emerging market. I’ve had the opportunity to meet key
figures within these businesses and understand the passions behind the firms. This
experience has strengthened my ability to build relationships, understand the inner workings
of a business and utilise the insights gained to inform effective decisions.
