1. Find each of the products.
(i) (- 5) × (- 6) × (- 7) × (- 20)
(ii) × (- 9 ) × 4 ×(- 1)
2. Find: (i) [-30 – ( -18)] ÷ [ 19 + (- 13)]
(ii) [ 400 × (-20) ] ÷ [ (-250) × (-8)]
3. Using properties of integers , find
(i) (-295) ×(-63) + (-295) × (33)
(ii) 20935 × 99 – (- 20935)
4. Verify and also name the property used :
(i) ( -445) + 315 = 315 + (-445)
(ii) 20 × [ 5 × (-16)] = (20 × 5) × (-16)
(iii) 18 × [100 + (-5) ] = 18 ×100 + 18 × (-5)
(iv) [64 + (-40) ] + 16 = 64 + [ (-40) +16]
5. Hazel started a game of monopoly with Rs.70. She had to pay Rs.25 as tax and she
received Rs. 10 as rent of one her sister. Again, She won Rs.20 by way of lottery and then
find for over speeding. How much money wsa left with her at the end of the game?
6. Simplify:
(i) 25- [20 – {8 ÷ -(15 -25 ÷ 5)÷ 2)}]
(ii) 48 ÷ { 8 –(-2 of 5 +3)}
7. The product of two numbers is -180. If one of the numbers is 12, then find the other.
8. One Autumn morning the temperature went up from -4˚ C to 5˚ C.
a) By how many degrees did the temperature rise? During the afternoon the temperature
then fell by seven degrees from 5˚C.
b) What was the temperature at the end of the afternoon?
9. Write six distinct integers whose sum is 7.
10. The sum of two integers is 30. If one of the integers is -42, then find the other.
