2023 SCHOOL BASED FESTIVAL OF TALENTS

2. MULING PAGKUKWENTO- Open to all Grade 3 Non-LRP
3. INTERPRETATIBONG PAGBASA- Open to all Grade 4-6 Pupils

ENGLISH:

4. STORYTELLING- Open to all Grade 3 LRP Pupils


5. STORY RETELLING- Open to all Grade 3 Non LRP Pupils
6. ORAL READING INTERPRETATION- Open to all Grade 4-6 Pupils
V. RATIONALE:

The Regino A. Yet Elementary School is committed to ensuring


improved learners’ reading performance as one of the priorities in the Learning
Recovery and Continuity Plan.

The School Based Festival of Talents, as a co- curricular activity, is a


clear and proactive reinforcement of the teaching and learning process and
reflects the significant association between what the learners learned in school
and what they performed and produced during this activity. The conduct of
School Based Festival of Talents is consistent with the DepEd MATATAG
education agenda. Take care of learners by promoting learner well- being and
ensuring that all learners, regardless of background, have access to quality
learning opportunities and services.

The School Reading Coordinators of English and Filipino shall


spearhead the conduct of School Based Festival of Talents which will be
highlighted by elocution contests named Read- A- Thon in English and
Filipino: BATANG REGINONG BIBONG BUMASA AT BUMILANG.

Competition doesn’t mean to be better than someone else. It is a


healthy competition which excites the learners and sparks their passion,
motivates, and create a healthy self- image within them. They can also
measure themselves with others in a positive manner; it also helps them to
deal with problems and failures.

VI. OBJECTIVES:

This project aims to:


1. provide learners with relevant and meaningful learning opportunities
reflected on how well they perform in their rooms.
2. enable learner to demonstrate their best products and performances
as authentic pieces of evidence of their learning across academic
areas.
3. provide opportunities foe learners to showcase their talents and skills.

VII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

All LRP and NON- LRP Pupils of Grade I- III and Grade IV- VI shall
compete in the following contest categories:

FILIPINO:

1. PAGKUKWENTO- Open to all Grade 1-3 LRP Pupils


2. MULING PAGKUKWENTO- Open to all Grade 3 Non-LRP Pupils
3. INTERPRETATIBONG PAGBASA- Open to all Grade 4-6 Pupils

ENGLISH:

1. STORYTELLING- Open to all Grade 3 LRP Pupils


2. STORY RETELLING- Open to all Grade 3 Non- LRP Pupils
3. ORAL READING INTERPRETATION- Open to all Grade 4-6 Pupils

School Based Festival of Talents will be conducted in a manner that is


consistent with guidelines spelled out in Regional Memorandum CLMD-
2023- 132. Three major winners will be selected from each of the 6 contests
but only the First Placers will represent the School in District Level.

The contest will be held at Regino A. Yet Elementary School. The board
of Judges shall be taken from the Teachers of Regino A. Yet ES who are
teaching English and Filipino for this competition

IX. SOURCE OF FUNDS: N/A

X. EXPECTED OUTPUT:

At the end of the activity, it is expected that:


1. learners were provided with relevant and meaningful learning
opportunities reflected on how well they perform in their classrooms.
2. Learners were enabled to demonstrate their best products and
performances as authentic pieces of evidence of their learning across
academic areas.
3. Opportunities provided for learners that showcase their talents and skills.

XI. MONITORING AND EVALUATION:

Photo documentation and narrative report of the different activities to be done


shall be submitted to the Office of the Principal by the Technical working Group.
