WORK EXPERIENCE:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Mechanical Technician, I know the following Skills.
PUMPS:
 Having relevant experience in maintenance in all types of pumps such as centrifugal,
reciprocating and rotary pumps.
 Obtaining a complete check list of the dismantled equipment and keep a record of
the same.

  Inspect the condition of rotating parts namely shaft, sleeve, impeller, oil deflectors,
wear rings, bearings, coupling and stationary parts such as casing stuffing box,
distance pieces and bearing housing.
 Renewal of mechanical seals replacement of rotor checking wearing and throat
bushes, bearing clearances
 Hydro test of pumps to determine mechanical seal and casing leaks.
RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS
 Preventive maintenance and complete overhauling of compressor used for
instrument air, utility air, and to produce nitrogen.
 Replacing piston rings, guide rings, rod packing and adjustment of TDC and BDC.
 Replacing main bearings and big end bearings.
 Refurbishment of suction and discharge valves & Renew of cylinder liner
 Worked on the unloaded device of compressor.
 Trouble shooting such as long interval between load and unload. Low lube oil
pressure, PSV releasing, belts breakings, cooling water pump fault, inter cooler and
after cooler leakage
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORS
 Removal and assembly of rotor bundle.
 Inspection of diaphragms, diffuser, thrust and radial bearings.
 Maintaining overlap and axial float between stages.
 Renewal of ‘O’ rings.
 Removal and reinstall journal bearings thrust bearing and thrust disc.
 Use of special tools for bundle removal / Installation.
MECHANICAL SEALS:
 Refurbished all type of single double, tandem and cartridge seals, having single, multi-
spring and bellows.
 Renewed packing seal faces and maintained operating length lapping seal faces to
the required finish.
TURBINES
Involved in minor, intermediate and major servicing and inspections.
a) Rotor replacements, bearing inspection and bearings renewal.
b) Nozzle clearance setting, stuffing box carbon Packing’s renewal
c) Performing cold and hot alignment

GEARBOX:
General maintenance overhauling tooth conduct checking gears replacement, backlash
measurement and correction of gear box.
ALIGNMENT:
Thorough knowledge of types of alignment
 Rim and face method,
 Reverse indicator method, (Analytical and Graphical)

STATIC EQUIPMENTS
VALVES:
Maintenance and Overhauled all types of valves like safety and relief valves, Pressure
and vacuum valves, Compressor valves etc. and hydro testing of the same at the
required set pressure. Also worked as ball valves, Gate valves and check valves,
Pressure safety valves.
HEAT EXCHANGER
Having experience in plate type, shell and tube (single, multi tubes) floating
end, spiral exchanger. Involved maintenance tube, nozzle, buffle plate, & hydro tests
etc..
SEPARATOR:Having experience in 2 phase and 3 phase (horizontal, vertical, Sphere)
separator maintenance to change mist pad, vertex breaker, coalescing plates, deflected
etc.
VESSELS:

Pressure vessel cleaning. Internal parts this is performed at regular intervals to avoid
the complete breakdown of a vessel. Remove the Demister Pad and cleaning, inside the
vessel cleaning activity like puffing, Grinding, and chemical Cleaning.

COLOUMN:
Worked on Horizontal & Vertical Column on Remove the Trays and cleaning. using
Bubble cap Tray, Tunnel Cap Tray, Valve Tray, Sieve Tray, Chimney Tray, and Re fixing
The Trays Worked on The confined space procedure.
