“BO” TYPE SELECTIVE SHIFTING TOOL

Application:

The “BO” type selective shifting tool is designed to select and shift downward
XA, XO,RA, and XD type sliding sleeves.

Operation:

The “BO” type-shifting tool is run on the tool string below the jars. It is
lowered to a depth below the desired sleeve. Picking up through the sleeve
releases the shifting keys. The tool string is lowered until the keys engage
the profile in the sleeve and downward jarring opens it. The sleeve is fully
opened when the tool passes freely through it. The “BO” selective shifting
tool will pass through any number of sleeves going in the hole until the keys
are actvated.
