What happens to the particles during sublimation and deposition?

Sublimation

Sublimable solid have very weak force of attraction between their particles. On heating, these
solids particles gain energy and overcome the inter-particle attraction and the molecules break
free from their fixed positions & escape from surface of the solid directly into vapour and move
rapidly, randomly in all directions.

Deposition- It occurs when gas particles of a sublimable substance become very cold.
Deposition starts in the gas phase in which particles have a lot of kinetic energy. The molecules
are freely moving and have no arrangement. There is a lot of empty space between the
particles. When the gas is cooled down, the particles lose most of their energy which makes
them come very close to each other and form bonds
