Regional integration - the joining of individual states within a region into a larger whole.
Economic integration – process in which two or more states in a broadly defined geographic area
reduce a range of trade barriers to advance or protect a set of economic goals.
Trade Bloc – institutions of a number of countries sharing economic and political aims, achieved
through shared trading practices.
Federation – a new state (political system) that is formed through a treaty or an agreement
between the various units.
Unilateral Agreement – an agreement in which one party, known as the offeror, makes a promise
in exchange for the performance of a specific act by the other party, known as the offeree.
Globalization – the process of countries coming together through communications, finance and
commerce and a unification of the world’s economic order.
Tariff – a tax charged on goods or services as they move from one country to another.
