MRI REPORT – PELVIS


TECHNIQUE:
DWI B 1000, T2W Axial & Coronal
T2W Sagittal, STIR Coronal, T1W Axial

OBSERVATION:
An irregular exophytic heterogeneous T2 hyperintense solid lesion measuring ~1.8 x 1.5 cm
arising from the peripheral zone of right lobe of prostate gland. The lesion demonstrates
restricted diffusion on DWI.
The lesion is seen involving the proximal aspect of the right seminal vesicle and obliterating
the right neurovascular structure.
The Prostate gland measures ~3.4 x 3.2 x 3.3 cm. Vol: 18 cc.
Left seminal vesicles appears normal
Neurovascular structure appears normal on the left side.
Urinary bladder is normally distended. No abnormal wall thickening seen.
Rectum appears normal. There is no evidence of rectal wall thickening.
There is no significant lymphnodes seen.
IMPRESSION:
- An irregular exophytic heterogeneous T2 hyperintense solid lesion arising from the
peripheral zone of right lobe of prostate gland.
- The lesion demonstrates restricted diffusion on DWI.
- The lesion is seen involving the proximal aspect of the right seminal vesicle and
obliterating the right neurovascular structure.
In the clinical scenario of known case of prostatic carcinoma possibility of recurrence to be
considered.
