Introduction
I would like to thank you, for choosing to purchase this pattern. I hope that you will be fully satisfied
with it and, above all, that the effect of your work will be exactly as you imagined. Remember that if
you have any questions you can email me: krawka.blog@gmail.com.

I recently moved and wanted to make something special for my new home and myself, this bouquet
is the effect of my work. I placed it in the hallway, so everyone who enters my house can see what a
twisted freaky nerdy crochet lover is leaving here :) If you too feel a bit nerdy or freaky this project is
made just for you! I have to say it's very time consuming project with a lot of parts to make and a
hard assembly, but please remember the end result is worth your time. I am sure it will make a big
impression on your guests!

Materials
List of all the materials you will need for this project:

 yarn ( I use 55% cotton yarn which measures 174 yards (159 meters) for 50 g, weight Sport /
5 ply (12 wpi), Gauge 24 to 30 st is 4 inches (10 cm)
You can use any colors you like , but here is the list of colors I used:

o red - heads, petals

o green - stalks, leaves
o black - head parts, ground
o white - teeth
o brown - gnome's boots
o blue - gnome's pants

If you want to know more about the yarns or colors I chose, send me an email.

 plant pot or vase - My pot is ikea's PAPAJA, you can find more information about it here:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70186655/
 Piece of styrofoam to fit into your pot - we will stick the wires into it. It should fill 2/3 of the
pot. It will not be visible - we will cover it with black ground.
 3,0 mm (D) hook
 wires - plant's heads are heavy - so the thicker wires the better :) (or you will put two in each
stalk)
 cotton wool or other stuffing
 needle, thread, scissors, etc.

The pattern will be divided into 4 sections:

 Plant pattern - we will make all the needed parts

and sew them. I've made 5 plants total (one of them ate
the gnome) but you can make as many of them as you
like, although I strongly recommend to make parts for
one first, sew it and then you will decide how much of
them you will make :)

 Bud pattern - I've made 2 flower buds. We will

make all the needed parts and sew them

 Gnome pattern (Should it be half of gnome

pattern? :) I've made one gnome (...well half of it) We
will make all the needed parts, sew the gnome together
and then sew the gnome to one of the plants.

 Bouquet assembly - We will assembly a bouquet

from all the parts here.

Last word of explanation:

Head (Make 1) (5)

Red text in brackets is the number of parts you have to make for one plant.

Green text is the total number of parts you have to make for all the plants in this section
(Remember I decided to make 5 plants, 2 plant buds and 1 gnome)

We have all the parts we need for the plant. Let's sew
them together.

Firstly sew lips to the upper head. Sew it in place

where red and black meet.

(see the photo for reference)

Side view of the upper head with lips.

Sew the lips to the lower head.

Lower and upper head.

Thank you very much and happy crocheting! :)

Sew teeth to the lower and upper head just under the
line where you sewed the lips.

Align upper and lower head to each other and sew - I

would start in one corner of the mouth and work to
the other.

Sew especially tightly in mouth corners!

We will work on the back of the head now.

Take two petals (wavy part of the petals facing

outside) and sew them to the lower mouth part.
Petals overlap each other.

(see the photo for reference)

On the back side of the upper head we will sew 3

petals. These petals overlap each other too.

(see the photo for reference)

Thank you very much and happy crocheting! :)

Plant head is finished now.

Prepare two wires - they should be longer than the

stalk (see the photo for reference)

We will put one of the wires in the upper head and

one in the lower....

... this way later on we will be able to open plant's

mouth very wide or close it tight.

Put the mouth on the wires.

ASAP. You can also visit my blog: krawka.blogspot.com, where you will find other great patterns.

Thank you very much and happy crocheting! :)

Put the end of the stalk on the wires and sew it to the
head.

(see the photo for reference)

Put the stalk on the wire and sew it firmly.

If you want to use a leaf sew it to the stalk.

Remember to place leaves randomly on plants - one

higher, the other one lower...

OK! One ready - four more to go :)

I know it's a very time-consuming project, but look at

the photo on the right and remember it's worth your
time! :)

First thing we have to do is fill our pot with styrofoam.

I've filled 2/3 of the pot.

Now that we have the level on which our plants will

go to the pot we can make 'ground'. If your pot is

......

Put the ground on the styrofoam, you can glue it or

pin it in place.

It's time to put the first plant in the ground, put both
plant wires through the styrofoam (if you have it in
two separate parts, make sure the wire goes through
the first and the second one) Try to place every plant
near the center of the ground and control where is
each plant going - longer ones near the middle,
shorter ones around them.

Is the plant straight? Can you pose it to any pose you

like? If not you may want to consider adding another
wire!

If you are happy with the plant placement sew the

stalk to the ground. Cut off or weave any loose ends of
yarns.

Place another plant in the pot and sew it... and

another one... and another...

If you want you can sew one plant to another near the
ground, if you do, do it very tightly! If after this steps
your plants can't stay straight - add more wires to
stalks (I did)

Congratulations! Your bouquet is ready. Are you

happy with it? I wonder how much time it took you. I
know it was loooong for me, but now every day I am
looking at it and think it was worth the time! :)
