Record Notes of WRM of SG package held on 12 Dec 23 with M/s LMB

LMB has presented the status and plan of different systems on which progress discussion is
carried out. In the Presentation, LMB informed much focus was given on systems required in
achieving next milestone i.e BLU of Unit-I.
LMB informed they have Erected 694 MT out of Targeted 3068 MT for the month in Unit-I &
263 MT out of Targeted 1282 MT in the Unit-II. THDC/NTPC pointed the man power in
erection works of Unit-II is very minimal i.e. around 350 Nos against requirement of around
800 Nos and is not improved since last week.

THDC/NTPC asked LMB to add details of balance works not covered in presentation of next
WRM.
The following decisions are made in the meeting.
1. Works shall be done as per Flow chart finalized in the PRM chaired by Director
(Technical) dated. … to complete BLU by 12 Feb 2024.
2. The completion dates of some activities are shifted from that mentioned in the last
WRM. All necessary action should be taken to not to repeat this trend.
3. Man power particularly in Unit-II should be increased to match the performance of
the project.
4. The monthly erection targets in Unit-I & II are being missed in most of the previous
months. Execution should be strengthened with required Manpower and machines
so that targets are achieved.
5. Works of Pipe rack is critical as Civil foundations is still not ready for mechanical
erection. LMB should meticulously work to complete the pipe rack as per schedule.
6. THDC/NTPC expressed concern regarding progress of ESP – 03 passes, the progress
suffering due to insufficient deployment of welders. THDC has provided welders still
the progress is not up to date. LMB should remember there will be very less time
after BLU before Synchronization by which all passes of ESP should be ready.
