use this module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress
while allowing them to manage their own learning at home.
Furthermore, you are expected to encourage and assist the learners as
they do the tasks included in the module.

For the learner:


As a learner, you must learn to become responsible of your own
learning. Take time to read, understand, and perform the different
activities in the module.
As you go through the different activities of this module be
reminded of the following:
1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on any

exercises.

Lesson 2: Cheer Dance

Cheer dance is coined from the words cheer and dance. Cheer is to
shout out words of phrases that may well motivate team and perform better
during the game. Dance is a physical activity where one expresses emotions
or gestures while performing bodily movement usually in time with rhythm.
Cheer dance is an activity that is rooted form cheer leading. Cheer leading is
an activity in which participants cheer for their teams for encouragement. It
is performed in a routine usually gymnastics skills such as tosses, tumbling,
stunts and jumps combined with cheer and yells. It originated and developed
in the United States.

Warm Up and Stretching

Procedure:

1. Wear exercise clothing.


2. Perform all recommended exercise.
• Neck Stretches (10-15 seconds)
- Left side
- Right side
- Tilt up
• Arm Circles (20-30 seconds)
- Small Circles
- Big Circles
• Side Stretch (10-15 seconds)
- Right side

• Body Rotation (15-20 seconds)
- Waist and Hip Rotation
• Quad Exercise (20-30 seconds)
• Heel Cord Stretch (15-20 seconds)

Activity 1: Arms/ Hand Movements

• Beginning stance and cheer stance

• Clasp, clap, overhead clasp, low clasp

Activity 2: Legs/ feet positions
