INTRODUCTION

Asingan is the hometown of the annul “Kankanen Festival” where its people celebrate its local
kakanins. Sweet Treats Local Delicacies is a one-stop pasalubong shop that offers all varieties
of local Filipino delicacies that both locals and tourists will enjoy.
Sweet Treats utilizes its network of kakanin makers of Asingan as partner suppliers. It also
produces its own line of products that will be sold alongside supplier-produced ones.
The business is strategically located at Bantog, Asingan, Pangasinan where tourists normally
pass by. Also, there’s a Facebook page for the business, which is also utilized as its online shop.
Products sold in Sweet Treats include a wide variety of local kakanin and pasalubong items.
This include, but are not limited to, rice cakes, puto, sapin-sapin, suman, among others. It also
has a café which offers different coffee blends to match the delicious local sweets.
The business is family-owned, led by proprietor Marc Henry Orbillo. The food industry is very
competitive, however, there is no other delicacy and pasalubong shops along the road leading
to the historic Narciso Ramos Bridge.

Sweet Treats Local Delicacies offer different local Filipino delicacies suitable for all sweet
tooth Asinganians and tourists. It offers suman, bibinka, palitaw, sapin-sapin, and puto. The
shop also offers different Filipino pasalubong items. Also, it offers different coffee blends to
match your best kakanin experience.
