    PROJECT:
    VIBRATIONAL ANALYSIS OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED PLATES
    The free vibration characteristics of functionally graded material plates graded in length direction is studied using
    the numerical method. The FE software ANSYS is used for the purpose. The natural frequencies and mode shapes
    of square plates with different boundary conditions are computed as a function of gradient index. The influence
    of various parameter such as length ratios, boundary conditions on the natural frequency of square plates is
    investigated. The obtained results are validated by solving Benchmarks for which the target solution is readily
    available in the literature.
