Verify conducting of Test for surface moisture according to ASTM D 4263, Verify Protection of protect adjoining exposed surfaces from being stained, spotted, or coated with damp proofing. Verify Prevention of damp proofing materials from entering and clogging weep holes and drains. Verify Cleaning substrates of projections and substances detrimental to work. Verify filling voids, sealing joints, and apply bond breakers if any, as recommended by prime ‘material manufacturer. Apply patching compound for filling and patching tie holes, honeycombs, reveals, and other imperfections, APPLICATION Verify Allowing each coat of damp proofing to cure 6 hours before applying subsequent coats. Verify Allowing 24 hours drying time prior to apply membrane, Verify Applying from finished-grade line to top of footing, extend over top of footing, and down a minimum of 150 mm over autside face of footing. Verify Extending 300 mm onto intersecting walls and footings, but do not extend onto surfaces exposed to view when Project is completed. Verify Installing flashings and corner protection stripping at internal and external corners, changes in plane, construction joints, cracks, and where shawn as "reinforced," by embedding a 200 mm wide strip of asphalt-coated glass fabric in a heavy coat of damp proofing. Damp proofing coat for embedding fabricis in addition to other coats required, \Verify that External angles have been suitably splayed to prevent sharp corner and internal angles shall be provided with cement sand fillet 50 x50 mm to provide smooth transition, Verify maintaining uniform 100 mm- minimum lap widths and end laps. Verify Overlapping and seal seams, and stagger end laps to ensure watertight installation. Verify Applying sheets from low to high paints of decks to ensure that laps shed water for horizontal application. Verify Repairing tears, voids, and lapped seams in waterproofing not complying with requirements. Slit and flatten fish mouths and blisters. Patch with sheet waterproofing extending 150 mm beyond repaired areas in all directions. Verify that all angles and corners, internal and external, shall be reinforced with an extra strip of 300 mm wide membrane as detailed under lap joint. Verify immediately installing protection course with butted joints over waterproofing membrane. Flood Testing: Flood test each deck area for leaks, according to ASTM D 5967, after completing waterproofing but before overlying construction is placed. Install temporary containment assemblies, plug or dam drains, and flood with potable water. 1.Flood to an average depth of 65 mm with a minimum depth of 25 mm and not exceeding a depth ‘of 100 mm. Maintain 50 mm of clearance from top of sheet flashings. 2.
