DMC Happenings this Week: PTA Mtg. Tuesday at 6 pm in the MP Room. Wednesday is dress in red, white,
pink for Valentine’s Day. Mrs. Cole is selling Heart Lollipops during lunches for $1.00 to raise money for the
GATE trip to Astrocamp. Dental Presentations on the 14th!

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE 4 FAMILY RESERVED SPACES IN OUR LOT

(SIGNS A, B, C, AND D) EVEN IF YOU’RE JUST “IN AND OUT.” FAMILIES
HAVE PAID FOR THOSE PARKING SPACES FOR THE YEAR.

Cox Cubs of the Week of the Week: Congratulations to the following

students for being Cox Cubs of the Week for the week: Cielo Barcelo,
Josephine Oliveros, Noah Choi, Jewel Largusa, Ryan Vu, Lynn Scobie,
Cabriel Castro, Kehlani Edwards, Crace Roche,
Kevin Villagomez-Bedolla, Justin Hardin, Samantha Bellante, and
Nevaeh Quijones.

DMC Parents: Please make sure that you’re checking Infinite Campus weekly
to keep track of your child’s grades, attendance, and assignments. We are a
month into our second semester.

WEDNESDAY IS WEAR PINK, WHITE, AND RED FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

As always, sprit dress up days are optional.

Thank you Students and Families: Thank you for celebrating our wonderful school counselor, Miss Deihl last week
for National School Counselor’s Week. We appreciate her A TON!

PTA NEWS: Please join us for our monthly PTA meeting in the MP Room, tomorrow, at 6:00 pm. Thank you
families for supporting our monthly dinner nights; we made over $400.00 from Chuck-E-Cheese night! That’s
our biggest profit yet. PTA made $1900.00 from the Winter Penguin Patch – another good profit for our school!

DMC District Budget: Families, for the 2024-2025 school year, we were cut $400,00.00 from our current year’s funding. This
is due to enrollment numbers lowered, higher performance state rating due to our high performing test scores (we lost
$140,000.00 from At-Risk and ELL Funds from the state), and staff salary increases. We will be asking PTA for assistance in
purchasing needed software programs no longer funded by CCSD and used our current funds to save a teaching position.
Information regarding the budget can be found on our website and on the SOT minutes within the website.

Cheers for DMC: We want to congratulate our students and teachers for having the highest achievement and highest growth
amongst our sister schools and all the schools our Region SAS, Mr. Solomon supervises! Wow! Great Job Everyone!

Super Wow Student: Congratulations to Grey Davis from Mrs. Freiburger’s second grade class. He has already doubled
his AR Goal for the year!

WIDA Testing News: Our K-5th grade students have been participating in the state mandated second
language test (WIDA) and Mrs. Heinlen has reported that all the students have been trying their hardest
and doing their best! This week is the final parts of the test for them. Great Job!
Kuddos to Miss Deihl, Teachers, Students, and Families: It was another fantastic Career Week and Wax Museum! Great
work everyone for doing amazing presentations. Thank you for our family members who were able to come in and present to
our classes last week! It was fun having our families in the building sharing such interesting things and telling students about the
different careers!
