out of the interior and to bring it to an architectural scale. SCALE

This pyramid-like shape keeps the weight in the center and 1:1

helps to reduce the foundation size. Spatial Scale Study No.3 CONTEXT
is made of 3in × 3in cedar posts. The shape starts with a 4ft Installation was a part of the degree show
× 4ft base that tapers to a 2ft twisting arch. The overall
height is 30 feet (about as tall as a three-story building).
In between 4ft width of the base and 30 feet height of top, it
provokes one’s perception of the enormous and the intimate at
the same time and creates extreme unique spatial quality.

These series of spatial scale studies experiment with the LOCATION

relationship between material and proportions of the object.
How do people perceive and experience the notion of the YEAR

DIMENSIONS
Spatial Scale Study No.3 has the ambition to push the project 4ft x 4ft x 30ft

out of the interior and to bring it to an architectural scale. SCALE

This pyramid-like shape keeps the weight in the center and 1:1

helps to reduce the foundation size. Spatial Scale Study No.3 CONTEXT
is made of 3in × 3in cedar posts. The shape starts with a 4ft Installation was a part of the degree show
× 4ft base that tapers to a 2ft twisting arch. The overall
height is 30 feet (about as tall as a three-story building).
In between 4ft width of the base and 30 feet height of top, it
provokes one’s perception of the enormous and the intimate at
the same time and creates extreme unique spatial quality.
