RE: The Notice to Rent Increment

This is to acknowledge the receipt of your letter back dated 01/01/2024 on 20/01/2024

serving as a notice for rent increment. While different houses have received different start

dates for the increment it should be noted that in accordance to the law tenants are

supposed to be given 90 days (3 months) notice for that to be effective. As so, this letter is a

confirmation that the rent increment should be in effect under the following conditions:

Given the management’s claims of “repair and maintenance cost” no tenant has witnessed

any maintenance in situ and ex situ the premise. Therefore prior to the rent increment the

tenants have raised concerns on the premise status and have agreed that the management

should carry out the following maintenances:

1. The rectification of the gate, electric fence and CCTV blind spots for their security

purposes.
2. Groundworks rectifications such as the closure of any manhole, biogas trenches and

holes, floor works behind the houses, and the water levels rectifications for proper

drainage in the rains. Ps. The parking lot needs IMMEDIATE repairs as it poses as it

can lead to WANTON destructions of properties when it caves in.

3. The tenants are irked about their water bills with most of them claiming the

company is surcharging them and therefore there is a need for these rectifications

and necessary refunds.

4. That effective immediately the management should tame their rude, tyrannical and

condescending employees.

5. That the company should cease and desist from tampering with the tenant’s power

and water sources. This usually occurs when the tenants are in arrears. It should be

noteworthy that we are all human beings and therefore the management should act

in a manner that not only dignifies the tenants but also empowers them to

undertake their responsibilities.

6. The repair of the door bells and proper water appropriation some of the tenants

claim that they do not have water in their houses.

7. That the management will maintain and clean the premise and offer receipts against

payments made from the tenants.

8. Any internal repairs that the management had previously promised to undertake and

has not accomplished.

Amidst these demands, we would like to thank the management for the smooth

sailing overseen in the previous year 2023 and we hope further smooth sailings in

2024.

Yours sincerely,
