DESIGN CONCEPT AND SOLUTION TO THE DESIGN PROBLEM

The design concept is a dragonfly, researchers come up with an idea that the
proposed hospital will enhance its purpose to the people especially in Galimuyod,
Ilocos Sur. It was used since it represents connections, courage, strength and
happiness. Considering that the hospital will be a comfortable environment not only
to the officials, employees and patients but to the visitors or patient’s companion as
well. Moreover, a place where people can reconnect with their loved ones by simply
visiting the patient and it serves as a way on how people will heal, regain hope and
comfort despite the hardships or situation they are going through.

Given that color has a significant influence on people's moods and levels of comfort,
the building took into consideration how to use color properly in all areas and
throughout the structure. Along with meeting all of the residents of Galimuyod's basic
needs, the landscaping will also serve as a tranquil area where people can spend a
lot of time walking around outside and taking in the lovely surroundings. Since it has
gardens and benches that create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone.

Consequently, prioritizing the users will increase their comfort level and ensure that
they have a positive hospital experience.

DESIGN CONCEPT (FOR CONCEPT BOARD)

The design concept of the dragonfly is intended to enhance the objectives of the
projected hospital in Galimuyod, Ilocos Sur, by symbolizing happiness, courage,
connections, and strength. The hospital will offer a warm environment for officials,
employees, patients, and visitors, providing individuals to reconnect, get strength and
hope from their loved ones.

All residents will have a favorable hospital experience because of the building's
thoughtful use of color and landscape, which includes gardens and benches.
