WITNESS STATEMENT

I MAROLINE NDEGWA a female of sound mind, a Kenyan citizen of ID 24342514 Work

stationed at P.O Box 2223, MAKADARA within the Republic of Kenya do hereby take oath
and state as follows;

1. I am a Bartender working full-time at Ceejay’s Bar & Restaurant located in Makadara

within the Republic of Kenya.
2. I was on duty on the 28th of October of 2022 from 3 PM to late hours of about 3 AM,
working at the bar section
3. On the 29th of October 2022, I was confronted by police officers requesting receipts
and CCTV footage from the bar with details on the 28th of October 2022 Night.
4. The police explained the reason for their request and gave details on the specifications
they were after which I offered to help
5. I was able to retrieve all the receipts and CCTV footage of the night as instructed and
handed them to the police
6. I have read and averred that the facts stated in this witness statement are true to the
best of my belief and knowledge.

WITNESS STATEMENT

I Jessica Pearson, of Identification number, 3787920, P.O.Box 2768-00200 Nairobi, residing

in Fedha and working for gain within the Republic of Kenya. I do hereby take an oath and
state that:

1. I am good friends with Webb Philips (accused) since childhood.

2. On 27th October 2022 I was at Webb Philips’ home in Makadara where he had hosted a
house party.

3. After waking up on 28th October 2022, Webb Phillips suggested we go to CEEJAY’s &
BAR AND RESTAURANT; a local bar close to his home, and continue with the parting. We
left his house at 8.30am.

5. Webb Philips bought drinks and refreshments.

6. Webb Philips started complaining of a headache at 11.52 PM. We left the restaurant at
12.00 midnight on 29th October 2022. We walked to his house. I tucked him into bed and
ensured he was comfortable then went and slept in the guest room.

WITNESS STATEMENT OF WEBB

I WEB PHILIPS a male adult of sound mind of ID NO; 39606805 P.O Box 44, NAIROBI
temporarily residing in Makadara within the Republic of Kenya do hereby take oath and state
as follows;

1. I was in a relationship with Lily which ended prematurely on a controversy over the
formalization of the relationship. Consequently, we separated and Lily decided to leave me.

2. When Lily left, she carried her belongings but left few clothes behind.

3. After lily ended our relationship and left I have since never known of her new place of
residence.

4. On the 27th of October 2022 I hosted a house party at my house in Makadara and invited
my friends.

5. On the 28th of October 2022 morning I suggested to my friends we go to a local bar near
my house called CEEJAY’S Bar and Restaurant. We left my house at 8:30 am.

6. I purchased the refreshments and drinks using my Mpesa payment.

7. At 11:52 I started having a severe headache which I informed my friend Jessica Pearson.

8. We left the bar at 12 midnight 29th of October 2022 and walked to my house.

9. Jessica tucked me into bed and then went to sleep in the guest room.
