Course Title TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING I
Course Credit 3 UNITS
Course Description This is a 3-unit introductory course that explores basic knowledge and skills and values in the use of technology for teaching and learning. This course includes ICT
policies and safety issues, media and technology an various content areas, learning theories and principles in the use and design of learning lessons, teaching-learning experiences and assessment
tasks that utilize appropriate traditional and innovative technologies with social, ethical and legal responsibility.

J. Learning Environment: Physical classroom/Virtual

K. Classroom Policy:
You are encouraged to follow the following rules for better learning environment:
A. During the face to face class (refer to UDM Student Manual)
1. Come to class on time. Late students will not be accepted after the grace period of 10 minutes.
2. Use of smartphone is allowed but should never be disruptive of other students. Smartphones should be kept in silent mode during the class.
3. Come to class prepared and participate actively in the discussions. Always be ready for quizzes, examinationsand other form of assessmentand evaluation.
4. Observe appropriate adult behavior and respect for others at all time. Misbehavior inside the classroom is punishable under the University Students Handbook Rules and
Regulations
5. Students who accumulated 9 hours absences will be considered dropped from the role.
6. Cheating and plagiarism are sanctioned with disciplinary action which includes a failing grade on an assignment or test, a failing grade for the course, suspension or
expulsion from the University, as described in the UDM Students Manual.
B. During the online class
1. Be on time and register on the link the teacher will provide for the class attendance.
2. Dress appropriately.
3. Be aware of your surroundings. Turn your video on and mute your microphone when you are not talking.
4. Participate in the discussion. Avoid eating during the online classes.
5. Stay seated and stay present.
6. A reminder that a teacher’s screen shot, in any form of image shall not be posted in any public social media account. The same rule applies to the teachers. In the same
manner that a learner shall not be forced to have their camera ‘s on while video conference is going on. However, we recommend that in a certain period the teacher may
request the students to be seen for the purpose of building rapport and social interaction. All interactions through LMS shall remain inside the LMS only.

Midterm Grade: 60% class standing + 40% Midterm Examination
Final Term Grade: 60% class standing + 40% Final Examination
Final Grade: 40% Midterm Grade + 60% Final Term Grade
