(YOURS) JOHN 20

Let us turn our Bibles to John chapter 20 for our consecutive Bible reading

Last week we read chapter 19 and we saw how Jesus was mocked by soldiers and delivered to be
crucified by Pilate. Jesus was crucified, the soldiers shared his clothing and how Jesus was removed
from the cross and buried. (40 words)

Today we read chapter20 and we see first evidence Christs resurrection witnessed by Mary, Peter
and john. Later Jesus appeared to Mary and commissioned her to tell the disciples about his
resurrection. In the even Jesus manifested to ten disciples who hides in the upper room, and
recommissioned them the apostolic services. Thomas wasn’t present he doubted testimonies till he
saw nail prints in his hand wounded. The author point’s believers to acknowledge Jesus to be our
lord and God. (80 words)

You have too many typographical and grammatical mistakes. You need to work on them. You have
also made a number of assumptions that are not in the text. Mary was not commissioned. She was
merely sent with a one-off message to Jesus’ disciples. Commissioning is to a period of service. Mary
was not to tell the disciples about Jesus resurrection but about his ascension. Read the text again. I
do not see where it says the disciples were in the upper room. Finally, you have not included an
application at the end.

Today, we read chapter 20 and see how three disciples visited the empty tomb. Later, Jesus
appeared to Mary and told her to tell his disciples about his coming ascension. In the evening, Jesus
manifested himself to his disciples and commissioned them for apostolic service. Eight days later, he
also manifested himself to Thomas. The author ends this chapter by saying he wrote this Gospel so
that we believe in Christ. Make sure you do so to obtain eternal life. (80 words)

(YOURS) 1 PETER 5

Let us turn our Bibles to 1 Peter 5 for our consecutive Bible reading

Last week we read chapter4 and saw how Peter encourages believers to follow examples of Christ
which spells end life lived for pleasure. Peter urged believers not surprised by their present suffering
because they counted worthy to share in Christ’s suffering. (41 words)

Today we read chapter5 and see peter charged the elders to shepherd Gods flock. They were not to
do this under compulsion gain, but willingness. He asked young ones to submit themselves to their
elders, one another and clothed with humility. He urged believers that call of God to eternal glory
takes a believer through suffering to achieve perfection, stability, and strength. Finally he wrote
sending greetings from Babylon and tells them to greet one other with kisses of love. (80 words)

(MINE) 1 PETER 5

Let us turn our Bibles to 1 Peter 5 for our consecutive Bible reading.

Last week, we read chapter 4 and saw how Peter encouraged believers to follow the example of
Christ in suffering. He urged believers not to be surprised by their suffering because they were
counted worthy to share in Christ’s suffering. (40 words)

Today, we read chapter 5 and see how Peter charged the elders to shepherd God’s flock. He asked
those who were young to submit to their elders and to one another in humility. He urged believers
to resist the devil in the midst of their current suffering. Finally, Peter concluded his letter with
greetings and benediction. Two areas of application from this chapter are: The need for individual
humility and for taking a stand against Satan’s fiery attacks against us. (80 words)

Look at my corrections above, especially with typographical mistakes. Learn to read aloud what you
have written before sending it out. Then again you did not provide a concluding application.
