Wat Chiang Man

The oldest Temple in Chiang Mai town, this temple was built in 1296 by
King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Mai.

1296 by King Mengrai of Lanna kingdom.

Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara.

This 14th century Temple, where the City Pillar Shrine is located, is
famous for its enormous chedi, which is measured at 282 feet high and
144 feet wide (at the base).

Wat Phra Sing

Built in 1345, the Temple is located in the old


town. It houses the most popular Buddha statue,
Phra Phuttha Sihing which is enshrined in
Vihan Lai Kham, a Chapel that features
exquisite woodcarvings and northern style
murals that was painted in gold by Lanna
painter.
Three Kings Monument

The Three Kings Monument stands majestically in front of the old town
hall. These three kings are regarded as the creators of the Lanna kingdom.

“Nopburi Si Nakhon Ping Chiang Mai” the previous name has been
created at that time for more than 700 years. The Monument can be
considered as the symbol of the city of Chiang Mai.

Wat Suan Dok

or Wat Buppharam is interesting in the history of the


temple that came with the Lanna kingdom. and
Chiang Mai Since the beginning of the construction
of the temple over 600 years ago, this was because of
the summoning of the Buddha's relics. The governor
therefore transformed the flower garden into a temple
area.
