❑ Setup Crossfire in Radio Controller (Transmitter)

❑ Go to Model Setup Menu in transmitter

❑ Set Internal RF to OFF
❑ Set External RF Mode to CRSF

❑ Bind Crossfire receiver to module & ensure failsafe is set to “Cut”

❑ With Crossfire receiver powered ON, Go to Radio Setup Menu and page over to Tools Menu
❑ Scroll down to Crossfire Configure
❑ When, type of Crossfire Module appears on screen, highlight it and press Enter button
❑ Ensure frequency is set properly for your region (915 MHz = ITU Regions 2 & 3 (North/South
America, Asia/Oceania)., 868 MHz = ITU Region 1 (Europe/Africa/Middle East—see TBS Crossfire
manual for further information)
❑ Set max power to desired level (normally 100mW will be fine)
❑ Then, scroll to Bind and press Enter button on transmitter
❑ If asked if you want to update receiver, press Enter button on transmitter – NOTE: when receiver is
updating firmware, receiver LED will go solid—Do NOT interrupt this process—wait until update is
complete. Firmware will update & automatically go into binding process.
❑ Once it says Binding OK, press RTN button to exit back out to Tools Menu
❑ In Tools Menu click on Crossfire Configure option

❑ You should now see your Crossfire receiver as a menu option in the Crossfire Configure Menu
❑ Scroll down to your Crossfire receiver option and press the Enter button on your transmitter to select it
❑ Select your desired Mode # of channels - select 12 if you would like to put LQ (link quality) on
Channel 12 = Aux 8 in Betaflight (for Pre BF 4.1 ONLY-no need to put LQ on any channel
beginning with BF 4.1), then:
❑ For Pre-BF 4.1 ONLY: Set DST Channel 12 to LQ (we’ll then enable RSSI on Aux 8 in Betaflight
to coincide with this setting for Pre-BF 4.1 only. For BF 4.1 & beyond, you can leave RSSI channel
to “Disabled” in Receiver Tab and use Rqly in transmitter and set Link Quality in BF OSD)
❑ Ensure Failsafe is set to “Cut” (to eliminate quadcopter “fly-aways”)

❑ Go to Telemetry Page of Model Setup Menu in your transmitter and discover New Sensors as you would with
any other receiver – look to ensure you have RQLY as one of the telemetry values – this is your uplink Link Quality
and can be used for audible warnings from your transmitter of poor-quality control signal (similar to low RSSI)
