Advertising Essay Introduction

Crafting an essay introduction on the topic of advertising may initially seem like a straightforward
task, but delving into its intricacies reveals the complexity inherent in the subject matter. Advertising,
a pervasive force in contemporary society, encompasses a myriad of elements that demand a nuanced
exploration.

To commence such an essay, one must navigate through the evolving landscape of advertising,
considering its historical roots, societal impact, and the dynamic interplay between advertisers and
consumers. The multifaceted nature of this field requires an in-depth understanding of psychological,
sociological, and economic perspectives. The challenge lies in striking a balance between providing a
comprehensive overview and avoiding overwhelming the reader with an abundance of information.

Furthermore, the introduction must captivate the audience's attention, prompting them to delve into
the essay with enthusiasm. It should offer a glimpse into the significance of advertising in shaping
cultural norms, influencing consumer behavior, and driving economic trends. Crafting a compelling
hook that sets the tone for the entire essay while maintaining relevance to the introduction's theme is
an art in itself.

The difficulty intensifies as one grapples with the need to present a unique perspective or argument
within the introduction. Standing out in a sea of essays on advertising requires originality, critical
thinking, and a nuanced approach to the chosen angle. Striking the right balance between objectivity
and personal insight can be challenging, as the essay writer aims to engage readers without veering
into subjective bias.

In conclusion, constructing an introduction for an essay on advertising demands a delicate fusion of

historical context, societal analysis, and a captivating hook. Balancing depth and brevity, originality
and relevance, is no small feat. However, with meticulous research, thoughtful consideration, and a
dash of creativity, one can embark on this writing journey, unveiling the intricate layers of
advertising in a way that both informs and captivates the reader.

A Theory of Justice Essay
A Theory of Justice

Communitarian critics of Rawls have argued that his A Theory of Justice provides an
inadequate account of individuals in the original position. Michael Sandel, in Liberalism
and the Limits of Justice argues that Rawls conception of the person divorces any
constitutive attachments that persons might have to their ends. Hence, Sandel asserts that
Rawls privileges the standpoint of self interested individuals at the expense of
communal interests. I do not find Sandel s specific criticisms to be an accurate critique
of what Rawls is doing in A Theory of Justice. However, this does not mean the more
general thrust of the communitarian analysis of Rawls conception of the person must be
abandoned. By picking up the pieces ... Show more content on HelpWriting.net ...
The parties in the original position function as representatives of actual citizens in
society. However, unlike actual citizens, the parties in the original position lack certain
specific social facts that would bias their decisions on what the best possible principles
of justice would be. Hence, in the original position, individuals are thought of as lacking
certain knowledge, behind a veil of ignorance, and as guided by rational choice. The
parties in the original position then choose the founding principles of justice that will
guide the institutions of an actual well ordered society.

By neglecting certain facts about particular societies, communitarian theorists have

argued that Rawls theory of justice provides an inadequate conception of the individual in
the original position. Some critics have taken more specific aim and argue that A Theory
of Justice privileges the standpoint of self interested individuals while inadequately
accounting for communal interests. Michael Sandel in his work Liberalism and the
Limits of Justice advances this criticism of Rawls. Sandel contends that by separating a
person s ends from her identity, Rawls cannot allow for any ends to be constitutive of an
individual and hence communal. Because individuals are not attached to their ends, they
cannot but choose the principles of justice based on self interest.

I do not find this to be a fair

Kant And Transcendental Anthropology
Moving on from Descartes dualistic understanding of the human being who belongs to
two worlds; the world of moral freedom and of natural necessity. Kant made a distinction
between the physiological and pragmatic aspects of anthropology. The former studies
what nature makes of the human being, while the latter study concerns itself with what
the humanbeing can do, as a freely acting being, or what the human being should make
of itself. Kant was the first to lecture on anthropology in the European academic world,
and with that provided a return to the conception of man as a living whole. Kant notes
that the human being is a social being and criticizes the account of Descartes that the
human being is, as he calls it, a logical egoist . In... Show more content on

When the processes mentioned above are identified, one can question whether, for
example in the field of aesthetics, something is beautiful, and whether this judgment is
justified. Therefore, questions such as is this a good reason for people to think that art is
beautiful? arises within Kant s notion of transcendental anthropology. Furthermore, along
with the from within, and normative perspective on the human being, transcendental
anthropology makes use of a unique style of argument. The transcendental argument in
Kant s Critique of Pure Reason advance from some given to the conditions of the
possibility of that given. Thus the Critique of Pure Reason is an continued argument
exploring the conditions of possibility of empirical cognition; of what the human being
can know. As someone who experiences the world, someone can think about what must
be the case for experience to be possible. Kant argues that in order for humans to have
any kind of experience that the human being has, the world must contain substances, laws
of causality, and other features. Furthermore, Kant argues that the human cognition of
these substances, laws, and features must be limited in various
The Influence Of The Prophecy About The End Times
The prophecies about the end times are starting to unfold and Christians need to prepare
for what is about to come, Pastor Carl Gallups has warned.
In a guest appearance on the show Jewish Voice with Jonathan Bernis, Pastor Carl
Gallups said today s generation is living in the end times. He talked about how the
prophecies in the Bible have come to pass, including Israel s return to its homeland and
the alignment of nations, Christian Today reports.
The pastor said the present generation is the first in history too witness Israel s journey
back to its land. He said the event was prophesied 2,600 years ago, and that it is an end
times prophecy, WND relays.
Gallups also pointed out that the present generation has witnessed the return of
Jerusalem to Israel. Plus, he said the prophecy in Ezekiel 38 has already taken place. ...

My goodness, Russia and China are in the Middle East, putting their militaries together,
on the Euphrates River, said Gallups. ISIS has broken out. Iran, Persia, is making
compacts and alignments with Russia. Turkey has become Islamised. These are all
prophecies, either very direct in the Scriptures or indirect.
In addition, Gallups urged Christians to focus on the happenings in the Middle East,
because that is where the prophecies are unfolding. He then told Christians to prepare for
the upcoming persecution, economic crash, and calamities that will overtake the world,

Bury St. Edmunds Research Paper
My favorite place I ve ever lived was Bury St. Edmunds, England. My family lived in
Bury our first year here before we moved to Mildenhall to be closer to the middle
school as the bus ride from Bury was 90 minutes each way. We still go to Bury often for
shopping, the cinema, special events, and visiting places we like.
One of my favorite things in Bury St. Edmunds is the Abbey Gardens. Our house in
Bury was just a short 15 minute walk from there. They are the ruins and grounds of
what used to be one of the most powerful abbeys in England. Today, the abbey grounds
have been turned into a public park and visitors are allowed to walk around the ruins
freely. The Abbey Gardens include a beautiful flower garden, children s play areas, a ...

Charta. Another interesting historical aspect of the Abbey Gardens is the Norman gate.
This gate, which was built in 1347, is considered the new gate because it was built to
replace the original, much older gate after the town s people burned it down. There are
also various plaques around the town that highlight the town s history, such as the plaque
on the Angel Hotel saying that Charles Dickens once stayed there. The city is also home
to the final resting place of Mary Tudor, sister of King Henry VIII and Queen of France.
Bury also has many fun aspects of British culture, such as the annual Christmas tree
lighting in the town center and pantomimes in the town s Theatre Royal around
Christmastime. My family goes to the Christmas pantomime, a fun and silly British play
based on a fairytale, in Bury every year. Each year they do a different pantomime and

City Of God Reflection
Planning of any city is one of the most fundamental things to be considered before the
development of any city or regions. Through planning, economic and social development
in any city can prosper (Crane Weber, 2015). Through films, a reflection of the structure
and planning of the various regions in the setting of the movie can easily be displayed.
One of the outstanding planning and structure of a cityis displayed by the film city of
God. The movie assists in exposing the social networking within a planned community
and the various ways in which restricting can be done after the occurrence of a natural
disaster. The movie reveals the consequences which might arise from the poor

The cities in the world face similar challenges in terms of development, culture and social
structures found within them. The characters used in the film are true representatives of
the people living in cities because of the characters they display such as burglary and
theft. Incorporating the film in order to gain more insight on planning of cities and
various regions is important in explaining the development which can arise from such
areas. This shows that the movie is essential in planning as well as coming up with
solutions on issues related to the development
Taking a Look at Imaginary Companions
The article, Imaginary Companions, Creativity, and Self Image in Middle Childhood by
Eva Hoff investigates four questions: First, whether there is a relationship between
imaginary companions and creative potential; second, whether children with negative self
images are more likely to have imaginary companions; third, whether there are gender
differences among those children who have imaginary companions; and, finally, what
aspects of imaginary companions and what characteristics of those who invent them are
related to creativity(Hoff 2005).
The measurements used were a questionnaire about imaginary companions, 3 estimates
of creative potential, and a self image inventory. The participants were 69 fourth graders
(35 girls and 34 boys) in six classes at three Swedish schools, with somewhat different
demographic profiles, but with the majority from middle class homes. A subgroup of 26
children (16 girls and 10 boys), comprising all children with imaginary companions from
four classes, were given a more thorough questionnaire and interviewed about their
companions. In the second wave of data collection, when an imaginary companion
questionnaire was given to the children, two classes from the original sample dropped
out because their teachers could not spare that extra time.
In this study the variables are creativity, self image, gender, style of defense,
identification patterns, waiting ability, and creativity. Half of the fourth graders in this
study reported having
Summary Of The Ojibway Creation Story
The Ojibway creation story portrays the ecological purpose of apprehending your
dwelling place. The Original Man was able to apprehend his dwelling place by living in
harmony with the rest of creation on Earth. Later on, the tribes that originated from the
Original Man began to fight one another over land and disrespected the living things of
Earth. Since the people were no longer apprehending their dwelling place, Kitchi
Manitou sent a flood to purify the Earth. New land was created when Nanaboozhoo
worked with the animals to retrieve earth from deep beneath the flood waters. The
cooperation of humans and animals is a critical part of apprehension and allowed for a
new dwelling place to be created.

Taking a Look at the Philadelphia Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies have been a staple in Major League baseball for over 120
years. The Phillies are one of the League s oldest teams dating back all the way to the
year 1883. Over the years the Phillies have acquired many accolades and
accomplishments; although the Phillies are a decorated team for many positive
reasons they have also become the league s most losing team, with over 10,000 losses.
Although the Philadelphia franchise may have the most losses in any professional
sport, whether it is football, basketball, or soccer, they have had many playoff runs
and even a few World Series appearances. Throughout the winning and the losing
seasons the Phillies have had some very good players, which went on to be a Hall of
Famers, while many of the players were mediocre at best. Although not all of the
players that played in Philadelphia were good, they had heart and drive to not let the
rambunctious fans in Philadelphia not get the best of them. Whenever a family goes to
one of these baseball games, the game may not be the center of attention for the kids or
even the adults with the most entertaining mascot of all the Phillie Phanatic dancing

Essay on Silent Spring
The following quote The sedge is withr d from the lake, And no birds sing, (Keats)
seems like a very simple sentence with no meaning to it. However, after reading Chapter
6 of
Silent Spring , I realized how loaded the comment is with meaning. The quote is
describing humans and how humans treat the plants here on earth. The quote describes a
scene where humans continue to destroy plants because they feel that they are in the way
or that the plants are not appealing to look at. However, the plants that humans kill each
day with chemicals and pesticides end up ruining the complete area and stripping it of the
natural beauty of the land. The situation cannot be fair when chemicals are used. Humans

Birds sang and took baths in it. When chemicals were used, the lake became
contaminated and along with that the birds left that area. In the Chapter, Carson
describes a situation like this. It was a situation where sage was destroyed. When this
happened the animals that used this sage slowly went along with it. The quote and no
birds sing is telling of after the area was damaged by chemicals and the sedge was withr
d, the animals that adapted there also felt withr d and damaged so they left. This left the
area without birds singing.
Carson writes about the beauty of the land and plants. She also tells the uses of these
so called weeds and why they should not be destroyed by chemicals. Carson tells of a
way that when the plants need to be removed, they can be removed safely without
affecting the land around it the way that chemicals do. Carson does not feel that there
is hope for our future. The quote I chose to use tells of no hope either. The quote is
telling that this is what happens when chemicals are used. In the world today more
and more chemicals are being produced to kill off certain plants. Today s knowledge of
chemicals is increasing and each day more people are replaced with the work of
machines. These machines make it easy to spread the chemicals across the land and can
only do harm in this situation of our enviroment. Increasing pollution of these chemicals
are also destroying the ozone. When there are other ways to rid

Many people lost their homes, and students lost their opportunity of education for a

These have led to difficulty in relief work. Finally, some victims of the earthquake stole

On the other hand, the Sichuan Earthquake brought environmental issues. In the

in order to convey important messages, and use these methods in order to interact with
other businesses and the public. Methods of communication can also be commonly used
to advertise and market, for example via the use of social networks which advertise to a
wide range of individual, to through written posters which can be placed up in shop
advertisements and on notice boards alike.

Digital Publication

Digital publication is defined as any method of publication, which is not web based.
This is essentially electronic publication that can be used to convey information to
people. Examples of digital publication includes PowerPoint s (which can be easily set
up on a word document such as Microsoft PowerPoint, and are accessible to everyone)
SMS or Text Messages, Photo and Video Sharing.

PowerPoint s are widely used at Schools and Businesses during lectures in order to
teach other people. The interactive method of teaching engages people, as it makes the
speech accompanied with the PowerPoint more motivating. SMS Text messages in a
business environment are quick and easy to use, and allow colleagues to talk to each

communicating messages. Photos and videos can be used to accompany presentations,
or can be used in order to illustrate messages on behalf of a company, etc.

The Impacts Of Wind Energy
MOHAMMED ALGHAMDI ENGLISH CAMP 1 (Final draft) 11/20/2017 Wind
energy Wind energy is the application of air flow by use of wind turbines up to the
mechanically powered generators to produce electric power. The wind energy is used
as fuels of burnt fossils because its clean, plenty, it s distributed widely, renewable, it
doesn t consume water and doesn t produce greenhouse gases (Wolff Meyer, 2016).
The effects of wind energy to the environment are less problematic as compared to the
power sources that are non renewable. Wind farms u are usually comprised of many
wind turbines that are individually connected to the electric energy transmission
networks. Wind is known to be the cheapest electric energy source compared to other
sources like coal the gas plants. The offshore wind is usually stronger and stronger
than inland. The offshore farms also have less of an illustration effect but the
maintenance and construction costs are regarded to be great (Association, 2015).
Smaller onshore farms of wind can feed some power to the grid and give electric
energy to the remote off grid areas. Wind energy provides a changeable power that is
very reliable from one year to another but that with important difference over scales of a
shorter time. It s used in combination with additional sources of electric energy to
provide a consistent supply. While the amount of wind energy in each, region increases, it
necessitates the upgrading of the grid

The Language Of English As A English Language
1.Introduction The language used around the world is evolving. Currently, English
language is spreading globally and it has received a world recognition. According to
Schneider (2007), English is the world s lingua franca as it is being used internationally
and exclusively as the language of politics, trade and the internet. In some countries such
as Nigeria and Singapore, English has become a local languagein which it is used in their
daily communication (Schneider, 2007). Thus, this shows that English has expanded and
can develop into homegrown forms. In Brunei, there are several languages being used.
However, the most common languages are Standard Malay, Brunei Malay and English.

the study of phonological features by Deterding and Salbrina (2013) as well as

2.Data and Methodology

2.1Materials
The speech analysis uses the Wolf passage recommended by Deterding (2006) and Pratt
application (Boersma Weenink, 2010). The Wolf passage is used to describe English
pronunciation as it provides wide range of English sounds (Deterding, 2006). Meanwhile,
the Pratt application is used to listen to the sound files, view the spectrograms and to
measure vowel formants.

2.2Task The speaker (my self) is expected to read the Wolf passage and do five minute
interview with the tutor.

2.3Procedure
In a quiet room in Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the speaker was recorded using a
voice recorder performing the task. Prior to recording, I was given few minutes to read
the passage. Then, I was asked to analyze my own recording based on my auditory
judgements and acoustic measurements. The auditory analysis is categorised into 5
features (See table 1) and the acoustic analysis is classified into 2 features (See table 2).
The auditory analysis is carried out by listening to the sounds and the result is based on
my final auditory judgement and visual examination of the
Unix Security Essay
An Overview of UNIX Security

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the security of UNIX. Considerations shall be
given regarding generalized security aspects of a typical UNIX system. The ultimate
scope of the following presentation shall remain within the boundaries of a few of the
more critical UNIX security aspects. Of particular note will be discussion regarding
standard user access, root access, file system security, and internet access precautions.
This will not focus on specific measures used to implement security, but rather will
investigate both pros and cons typical of a UNIX installation. Finally, a brief description
of UNIX security versus other operating systems will be noted. Since no two UNIX

Of the utmost security concern is the protection of the root account. The root account
allows a user absolute control of the system, including the ability to alter practically
every aspect of the systems, from individual files to installed programs. Indeed, an
entry in Wikipedia.com notes, that a UNIX administrator should be much like Clark
Kent, only using the root account, or becoming Superman, when absolutely necessary,
lest the security of the account be compromised (2006). Ultimately, this
implementation represents a near surefire way to protect the system against many
internal and external threats. By ensuring regularly scheduled root account password
changes and ensuring the passwords are strong, the cons noted previously should be
relatively easy to avoid. File system security is also very important regardless of the
UNIX implementation. UNIX files system security generally allows access
permissions to be granted to various defined users and groups. UNIX also contains an
access right flag know as the sticky bit . The sticky bit can be used to allow users and
groups write access to certain directories within the system. Similarly, the sticky bit can
be used by a user to disallow other users with access to the same directory to alter the
contents of the file. The file can only be altered by the file owner, the directory owner,
and the root account (linuxdevcenter.com, 2006). This particular element allows for a

containing carbon. These compounds include carbohydrates, polysaccharides, lipids,
proteins, and nucleic acids. Each one of these compounds has a different purpose.
Carbohydrates give energy to cells when consumed. Lipids are basically the fats of a
cell. Proteins are the building blocks of muscle in a cell. Nucleic acids are used to

Essay on Amazing Grace
Jonathan Kozol s Amazing Grace is a book about the trials

and tribulations of everyday life for a

group of children who live in the poorest congressional

district of the United States, the South Bronx. Their lives

may seem extraordinary to us, but to them, they are just as

normal as everyone else. What is normal? For the children

of the South Bronx, living with the pollution, the sickness, the

drugs, and the violence is the only way of life many of them

have ever known.

In this book, the children speak openly and honestly about

feeling abandoned , hidden or forgotten by our nation, one

that is blind to their problems. Studying the people

themselves would only get us so far in understanding what

their community is really ... Show more content on HelpWriting.net ...

Another

environmental factor that affects the resident s healths has to

do with how most of the buildings in these neighborhoods

are run down and infested with rats. Many of the buildings

have no working elevators. This causes people to have to

walk several flights of stairs each time they want to leave

their apartments. This is very time consuming and tiresome.

Then, when they find that there is so much violence and

drugs in the street, that it is not safe to be out there anyway,

they usually end up staying in their apartments for most of

their free time.

The cultural differences between these people and others of

higher income communities is also a

reason why they may have problems. Racism is very

obvious to the people of the South Bronx, especially

when they go outside of their district. If a woman from this

area goes to a hospital outside of her

district, a hospital that is more than likely wealthier and

cleaner, she is usually turned away and told to go to a

hospital in her own district. Others, who are admitted into

these hospitals, are put on a special floor, mainly for the

lower income or Medicaid patients. (Amazing Grace, p.

Another way the government discriminates against them is

how they are housed. Most of the

residents are living in government housing where the

government pays their rent. When the government

The Triangle Of The Bermuda Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle. You may have heard of it but, do you know what it is? The
Bermuda Triangle lies near the South East coast of the United States and forms a
triangle in the Atlantic Ocean. The corners of the triangle are: Miami, Florida; San Juan,
Puerto Rico; and Bermuda; a north Atlantic island which the name Bermuda Triangle
originated from. What is so mysterious about these waters? Well, unexplained events
happened in which planes flying over this area have mysteriously disappeared leaving

aircraft not to be confused with a jet plane. You will see lots of these aircraft in Florida
and around the isalnd s. Their job is generally island hopping, traveling from island to
island. Because of small distances between the islands and the short runways, the
large jet planes are unfit for such activities and small planes like, the DC 3, is best

and for spraying pest control from the air. Now let s get into the real details of the
mysterious Flight of DC 3. This event took place at 7:40 p.m. December twenty seventh,

Puerto Rico. It had just flown in from Miami, FL and was scheduled to return soon after a
short stop. Upon landing, the captain of this flight, Captain Bob Linquist, reported to the
ground engineers that the lights for the landing gear had malfunctioned and had not come

conclusion that the battery was weak and running low on water. The crew quickly refilled

Education is a very important part of society. I feel that it should teach children how to
function in a society, and learn the basics they will need to expand on for the rest of
their life. I feel that it is used to teach moral, and ethical standards of living. The schools
are used to help the children learn to function in life, and achieve the goals of their
choosing. Education is important because without it I firmly believe that society
would be a very savage institution. With the things that we teach in today s schools
we give the power to know the basics such as reading, writing, and math but we also
give them the ability to function in a society. As a teacher I hope to set my student of

them. I want to be able to make a difference in just one person s life. If I can do this I
would feel I have done what I am supposed to do. I want my students to know the world
is theirs to take and do with it whatever they may choose.

I strongly feel that the classroom should be ruled democratically. I feel that each child
should have a vote in what the rules should be, and what they in general would like to

these goals should be achieved. I feel that by using Project based

Wouldn t it be nice to have a secret police force that listened to every word and killed

Abstract (summar of paper) When observing a star, the lager it is the shorter its life is
going to be. The smaller it is the longer the life. Shorter life is not saying much though,
as the most massive stars live for billions of years. When a star reaches about middle age,
it starts fusing hydrogen into helium. Once it has run out of usable hydrogen that it can
convert into helium, it can then take on one of several paths. It can lead to white dwarfs,
novae, supernovae, neutron stars or even black holes.

Type II supernovaes, which are more common, occurs when a star runs out of nuclear
fuel and collapses under its own gravity. In a Type II supernovae, once the star s core
surpasses a certain mass (The Chandrasekhar limit) the star begins to impolode. The core
then heats up and becomes denser. Eventually the implosion bounces back off the core,
expelling the stellar material into space. What s left is a neutron star.
Type I supernovaes lack a hydrogen signature in their light spectra. These type of
supernovae are generally thought to originate from white dwarf stars in a close binary
system. As the gas of the copanion star accumulates onto the white dwarf, the white
dwarf is progressively compressed, and eventually sets off a runaway nuclear reaction
inside that eventually leads to a cataclysmi supernova outburst.

Orion s belt is one of the famous constellations in our galaxy. There are 3 stars that
form the belt, their names are: Mintaka, Alnilam, Alnitak, which comes from Arabic. In
the myth, Hera, the wife of Zeus sent a scorpion to kill Orion. The belt is a system of
stars that have sibling stars that orbit around it. Each star is potentially bright. The star
Mintaka is super giant star that is 1,000 light years away. The star is also 10,000 times
brighter than our son. With it being the western most star of the belt, it is 60,000 degrees

In an attempt to counteract the protests and campaigning of the flagship that represented
New Zealand s movement against nuclear testing in the Pacific, France bombed and sunk

Operation Satanique, code name for the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior, used by the

Antibiotic Resistance Is A Growing Problem Throughout The...
Antibiotic resistance is a growing problem throughout the globe. Besides using
antibiotics for medical use, they are being used in the agriculture industry. In animals,
antibiotics are being used to treat diseases, but also to prevent diseases from occurring
and to increase the growth of animals (Mehndiratta, 2014, p.340). In recent years, the
evidence of farmers using antibiotics for non traditional ways has sparked major
controversy. In agriculture 90% of antibiotics are used for growth promoting and
prophylactic agents with the other 10% being used to treat diseases (Khachatourians,
1998, p.2). To understand why this occurs, we first must understand the genetic basis for
antibiotic resistanceand the occurrence of antibiotic resistance in selected organisms. By
farmers doing this an increase in the number and types of microorganisms resistant to
drugs, has increased public health problems. Finally, management options for reducing
antibiotics in the environment have to occur. If farmers continue to use antibiotics for
non traditional uses, as humans we can be affected greatly not just by food supply, but
by water runoff, the air, and even the soil. Also, more public health problems will occur.
However, to completely understand the effects of antibiotic resistance, we need to
understand the genetic component of how bacteria becomes resistant. An antibiotic can
operate at different sites within the bacterial cell, some infect the cell wall or the
membranes, making it

Third, at the current production economics of biofuels, none of pathways can produce
biojet fuel at a compatible cost with fossil based jet fuel. In efforts of understanding
biojet fuel economics, most studies have examined costs and benefits associated with
producing biojet fuel along with various pathways, which are either already approved
or promising to be approved in near future. The various Minimum Jet Selling Price
(MJSP) are as follows: 4.4 5.1 $/gal of soybean HEFA pathway (Pearlson and
Wollersheim, 2013), 6.2 $/gal of wood chips FT pathway (Atsonios et al, 2015), 5.4 $
/gal of corn stover STJ (Davis et al, 2013), 7.8 $/gal of sugarcane STJ pathway (Klein
Marcuscharmer et al, 2013), 4.7 $/gal of wheat straw ATJ and 7.5 $/gal of woodchips
ATJ (Atsonios et al, 2015). These techno economic analysis all support the claim that
an implicit subsidy is required to induce biojet fuel industry to fill the price gap
compared to the conventional jet fuel price around 2 $/gal. In addition, other policy
interventions are also recommended such as a mandate tool like EU Emission Trading

My Favorite Dad
When I was attending elementary school, my third grade teacher, Mrs. Leak, assigned
the class a journal, who do you consider a hero and why? Of course many of my peers
wrote Batman, Superman, and Wonder woman. There were even a few who said no
one. Some individuals may not ever believe in heroes, but they have never met my dad.
If I was to spell out perfection, it would be my dad. Everything about my father make

However; There are an abundance of special characteristics that make him my favorite

which comes from being an athlete throughout his younger years. His hazel brown

beard covering his face like Jolly Old St. Nicholas. The clothing he wears such as
suits, ties, and slacks or T shirts , jeans, and Jordan s symbolize how spontaneous he
can be. The aroma of his Yves Saint Laurent cologne sticks to him like a fly caught in a

Reflection Of The Classroom Environment
Classroom Environment.
As I connect back to my ontological commitment of transferring knowledge for the sake
of building a foundation that can carry students through to graduation, I focus on how I
can determine why I believe the classroom environment is critical to me. Perhaps it goes
back to my positionality, where I truly believe that everyone has a right to learn and grow
and that knowledge is the key to success in anything. As a lifelong learner, when I
encountered difficulties transferring knowledge to students, I worked to develop intricate
ways of teaching complicated material. In some instances, it meant changing the
environment altogether, which is perhaps the reason I am a strong proponent for active
learning classrooms.
In my last qualitative course, I had the opportunity to interview and observe faculty in
both types of settings a traditional classroom and an active learning classroom. I gained
valuable insight on why teachers using ALCs seemed to thrive and truly engage with
students. The flexibility an ALC environment provides for both faculty and students
connects back to the theoretical framework of student centered learning and discovery
learning theories. My goal in using qualitative inquiry is to determine a better
understanding of the successes and challenges in using an ALC because converting
classrooms to more modern environments is costly and not many schools have the
funding for it (Walker, Brooks, Baepler, 2011). If we can publish more

get in the way of their plan to kill the king. This worry caused her to call upon the
power of darkness, saying that she would commit the murder herself if she did not have
the womanly feelings she would receive afterward such as guilt and remorse.
Compare And Contrast Drive And The Avengers
To What Degree The films Drive and The Avengers are two strikingly different films
that display violence in two different lights. In The Avengers violence is portrayed in a
fun, entertaining way that doesn t cause anxiety or apprehension while Drive, on the
other hand, portrays violence with intense emotion and realistic violence. These
differences are evident throughout both of the films before, during, and after violent
actions that take place in the story. One of the significant differences in both of these
films is how violence is initiated. In The Avengers violence is often treated as the right
thing to do, occurs with lots of foreshadowing, and the characters enter this violence
jovially. During the middle of the final battle while New York is being demolished, the
Avengers have time to stand in a circle posing. As the heroes all leave their huddle , the

If a product comes out at the wrong time, too early or too late there can be a lot of ups
and downs. Boston Scientific was in the right industry and the right time. If we look at
the time periods in which Boston Scientific was established in 1969 than a decade later
was founded by the current owners John Abele and Peter Nicholas to acquire Medi Tech,
