accidents and traffic jams in the middle of the road and in view of this, ABC

COMPANY renowned with automobile specialists has come to eradicate this problem

causing the University community and its environs. However, the high cost of money

and valuable time that lecturers, students and commercial drivers incur while sending

their broken down vehicles out of campus to be repaired is also in the interest of the

ABC COMPANY to provide a towing service at a subsidise price in addition to

repairing the broken down vehicles.

Description of service.

Due to the prompt responsiveness of the towing service and the quality of the workers,

the company will infuse quality work to our clients by repairing their broken down

vehicles in the shortest possible time and deliver back their vehicles to their doorstep

in case the client is unable to come for his/her vehicle. On the other hand, the client if

available will test drive with a worker to be sure of the quality work done. The ABC

COMPANY will provide a great deal of quality service at a reasonable price to the

comforts of our customers, as money spent on a good service is far better than money

spent gaining a lesser utility.

Likewise, the mission of the ABC COMPANY is to bring our service closer to the

customers and also relief them of stress and restlessness in relation to issues
concerning their broken down vehicles. Though there are a couple of automobile

repairing shops in Cape Coast, bringing our automobile repairing and towing service

closer to our customers is of high interest to the company. With this, the company will

be of full advantage to the lecturers, non-teaching staff members, students,

commercial drivers and private individuals in the University of Cape Coast (UCC)

since the ABC COMPANY will be situated at the vast land behind the College of

Education (CODE).

Market Assessment

Holding on to 50%of UCC staff, 10% of students, 25% of commercial vehicles and

15% of private individuals, the company will operate from Monday to Saturday at

7:00am – 6:00pm and on Sundays form 9:00am – 3:30pm.

Our main competitors are located in Abura town which is a distance far away from

campus and they deliver only one service with poor work efficiency. Despite the

location of our competitors which is in the heart of the town with a large population,

our quality service coupled with skilled labour and free delivery at an affordable price

can lure their customers to our company.

Business Model

Our pricing may seem costly, this is because, we will provide a combines service

(towing and repairing vehicles). With the towing, the company will have to fuel the

towing truck in order to propel the truck to tow broken down vehicles to our garage

whiles the cost of repairing the vehicles include purchasing of spare parts, lubricating

oil and workmanship. Nevertheless, the spare parts together with the lubricating oil

have fixed price but our workmanship will be reduced for our customers.
In addition, there will be a 15%discount for our first 100 customers who patronise our

service for the first two weeks after commencement of our company. Also, there will

be an annual promotion and extra benefits.

For advertisement, with the help of the widely heard radio station on campus, ATL

fm, arrangements will be made to advertise the ABC COMPANY on their daily

broadcast. Moreover, stickers and flyers will be printed and pasted on information

boards of the various halls, hostels, and departments as well as the doors of

commercial cars working on campus. T – Shirts with the trademark of the ABC

COMPANY designed in will be worn by staffs of the company.

Production strategy

The company will have a high tension transformer to enhance the flow of electric

current to help power car batteries and also there will be a standby plant with high

voltage to generate electricity in case power cuts. Furthermore, there will be a reliable

spare – parts supplier to supply the ABC COMPANY with spare – parts whenever

called upon.

Since the ABC COMPANY will entreat its workers to give their maximum best to

make work more efficient, Medical screening will be conducted every three months to

screen our workers in order to work with good health condition.

Concerning our human resource, there will be specific roles assigned to each group

member to execute, and these roles will be integrated to have an effective work

delivered to our customers.

Finance

ABC COMPANY seeks to raise an amount of GHC 60,000 through members’

contribution and partnering with a financial institution. With this, 45% of the proposed

amount will be raise by contributions from group members and 65% of the amount by

a well-recognised financial institution.
