1. SITE WORKING PROCEDURE


1.1 Objective

The objective of the procedure is to describe the steps to be taken and the methods to be used through the use of checklist
inspection for de mucking job prior to cleaning process work.

This is also to ensure detailed specific actions and sequences are followed by all operations personnel.

The following steps must be carried out in order to effectively monitor and maintain control of the associated of demucking and
cleaning activities to ensure that maximum safety controls are in place.

2. SCOPE

This procedure outlines the process and the requirement of the Pump room and Cleaning process work. This procedure is to be
applied for working for the pump room in FSO ABU

4. SAFETY
 Worksite personnel will be present when the job is going to be carried out.

 Ensure personnel use complete safety attire.

 Ensure that all relevant Work Permits are issued and all the required precautions are strictly adhered to.

 Ensure that all personnel designated for the related tasks are properly briefed and understood the hazards
associated with the operations and being provided with sufficient PPE.

Job Hazard Analysis prepared per the work sequences detailed out in the controlled and approved by FVSB FSOM must be in
place and fully reviewed and discussed prior to start up, and also ensuring that the attached checklists are available at all time
during de mucking ongoing activities:

 All work will be managed through the PTW system, the attached checklist will form part of the support documentation in
support of PTW approval being given.

 Tagging lists – To be provided and checked for all sub-system isolations.

 All personnel directly involved must understand the entire work scope, especially works in tank entry.

5. Procedure – Step by Step

A SITE PREPARATION
1 Check and inspect all equipments for demucking process.
2 Ensure pump room fan is on.
3 Start ventilate the pump room for two hours.
4 Set up air winch cable length to working condition.
5 Prepare steel bucket and assemble to cable hook.
6 Prepare drums to put sludge on deck.
7 Set up turbo air light for lighting.
8 Test run all equipments and tools.
9 Test tank LEL, O2 and hydrocarbon condition.

B DE-MUCKING AND SLUDGE REMOVAL


1 Two personnel will going down inside tank and do the manually showel into bucket.
2 One person to be on standby person / BA person.
3 One person will be dedicated winch man.
4 One person will be handling sludge bucket on main deck.
2 Personnel inside tank will fill up sludge inside bucket.
3 Personnel on deck will winch up the full bucket up to deck. During this time personnel down
inside tank will fill up another bucket with sludge.
4 Personnel on deck then will pour the sludge inside standby drums.

5 The empty steel bucket then will be lower down.


6 Prepare chemical and diesel in mixture drum. Volume 3 liter chemical : 24 liter diesel.
7 Then one of on deck personnel will insert chemical and mix with sludge.
8 The same personnel will stir the mixture and once it is all liquify, then the mixture will be pump to
slop tank using Wilden pump thru ullage port. They will use ratio of 1:50 for solution to sludge.
Ratio for additive to diesel will be 1:8.(Volume – 3 litre additive : 24 litre diesel) for 1 drum of
sludge(150 litre sludge)
9 This process will be continuously running until the personnel inside tank come out.
