Reported speech is when you tell another person what you or somebody else have said
before.
So, we can report in all of the different tenses we use to speak. E.g. present simple, past simple,
future, etc
Example
Reported speech (you tell another person what somebody has said)
In reported speech some change are made in original words of the person because these
words have been uttered in past so the tense will change accordingly and pronoun may also
change accordingly
Example
She said that she was starting her new job the next day
