    Basic Quantities
     Length= meter(m)
     Mass= kilogram(kg)
     Time= second(s)
     Temperature= kelvin(k)
     Electric current= ampere(A)
     Amount of substance= mole(mol)
     Density= candela(cd)

    Scalar And Vector Quantities


     Scalar quantities have Magnitude only. Eg: time, length, temperature, mass, distance
     Vector quantities have magnitude with an associated direction. Eg: acceleration,
    velocity, weight, force, momentum, displacement

    Measurement of length
     Measuring tape ----- Several meters ----- 0.1cm
     Meter rule ----- 1m/100m ----- 0.1cm
     Vernier caliper ----- few cm ----- 0.01cm
     Micrometer screw gauge ----- few mm ----- 0.01mm

     Tera= T= 1012
     Milli= m= 10-3
     Micro= μ= 10-6
     Nano= n= 10-9
