I. Methods of account settlement
A. Which methods of account settlement are performed by the hotel's front office department?
We accept cash, credit card and bank transfer for the mode of payment and we issue an
Official Receipt for the proof of payment of guest and for our copy for our sales report. We settle the
payment using our ABI System where we fill up the payment and the Official Receipt Number of the
payment to save in our system per shift.

II. Banking and cash float procedures

B. What are the hotel's banking and cash float procedures?
In every shift if we have cash sales we always fill up our company’s bank deposit and the
amount of the money for each shift. And we always have our P5,000 cash float in every shift for us to
be able to have change for our guests who are going to pay cash in our room accommodation and
food and drinks from our restaurant. We always leave or have P5,000 in our cash fund in every
shifts.

III. Measures of credit control

C. What are the hotel's policies to secure money handling and processing? Identify some measures
to prevent mishandling of funds.
We have our log book of Cash float where we break down the money exactly to P5,000 for
the next shift. And every settlement we had in our system will show in our system and will be basing
on the system of how much money cash we received during our shifts. As for the banking we always
do settlement of Card sales and MKI before the end of the day and will be included in our reports
and will be submitted to our Accounting Manager.
It is important to keep track on the sales and the cash fund/float in order to prevent from
having short of money or mishandling funds. In every shift if there are short of sales the shift in that
schedule will be the one who is responsible of paying the lacking/short money in the cash float to be
given to the next shift which suppose to have the exact amount of P5,000 for the cash fund.
