Assessment Description:
This assessment requires the Grade 9 class to collaborate and perform a group ensemble
using cups, body percussion, and the rhythms learned in class. The focus will be on rhythm
and pulse evenness, fluent and precise performance, clear sound dynamics, and the
incorporation of musical instincts and stylistic awareness.

Each group will be evaluated based on:
Rhythm and Pulse (5 marks): Ensuring evenness and a consistent
pulse.
Performance Fluency and Precision (5 marks): Demonstrating
cohesive and accurate execution.
Sound Clarity and Dynamics (5 marks): Clear sound production with
effective use of dynamics.
Musical Instinct and Stylistic Awareness (5 marks): Including
personal musical expression and understanding of stylistic elements.
