LESSON 3.1: VOCABULARY
I. Aims
1. Check the effectiveness of students’ self-study at home, students are assigned to look up new words (meaning and pronunciation)
2. Introduce lexical words related to movies and TV programmes
3. Help students use the related words in contexts.
II. Objectives
1. Language Focus:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- recall the meanings of the vocabulary related to films and television.
Types of films action film, cartoon, comedy, documentary, fairy tale, fantasy, romantic film, sci-fi, thriller

- produce a small conversation in 4 - 5 minutes about their favourite films or TV programmes.

V.Procedures
1. WARM-UP (5’)
ACTIVITY 1: GAME “TABOO”
* Aims:
- To revise some common vocabulary about movie types in Grade 7.
- To arouse Ss’ interest in the lesson.
* Content: Play the game to get Ss to involve in the lesson.
* Outcome: Students can guess the words based on the definitions/clues .
* Organisation: Instructions of games, games, and announcement of winners
