Subject: Provisional Selection List for the posts of Junior Engineer

(Mechanical) Public Works (R&B) Department, UT Cadre
advertised under Item No. 202, vide Notification No.06 of
2022 dated.11.11.2022.

Notification
Whereas, the Public Works (R&B) Department, vide their Indent No.
PWD-Adm/122/2021-(Comp.No. 118431) dated 06.04.2022, referred 190 Posts of
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) to the J&K Services Selection Board, which were
put to advertisenment vide Notification No.06 of 2022 dated 11.11.2022, as per the
following category-wise break up:

Whereas, the requisite qualification for selection against these posts,

as per the Indent, is given as under:
"3 years diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government
recognized institute/Indian university degree in Mechanical
Engineering or AMIE Section (A&B) INDIA.
Note: Indian University degree/ 3 years diploma from Government
recognized institute in aeronautical/ automobile production
engineering shall be considered as equivalent to degree diploma in
Mechanical Engineering respectively".

Whereas, the JKSSB, accordingly, conducted Written Examination for

these posts of Junior Engineer (Mechanical), UT Cadre on 01.10.2023. Based on the
performance of the candidates in it, the Board vide Notification No.JKSSB
COEOEXAM(UT)/67/2023-03 (7271536) dated 12.10.2023, published the Result/
Score-sheet of the candidates; and
 Whereas, after the publication of Result/Score-sheet, the candidates,
falling under the consideration zone were called for Document Verification vide
Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/67/2023-03 (7271536) dated 13.10.2023, at
both Jammu &Srinagar w.e.f 17.10.2023 to 20.10.2023, followed by supplementary
DV on 25.10.2023; and

Whereas, the JKSSB, vide Order No.228-SSB of 2023 dated

13.10.2023, constituted a Selection Committee for preparing the Selection List for
the 190 posts of JE (Mechanical). The said Selection Committee, upon careful
scrutiny of the Indent/advertisement, prepared the Provisional Selection List for
these posts in accordance with the Merit and Eligibility of the candidates as per the
extant rules; and

Whereas, the Provisional Selection List prepared for the

aforementioned posts, was placed before the Board in its 247"" meeting, which, after
due deliberations and consideration of the matter, approved its
notification.
Now, therefore, the Provisional Selection List of the candidates for the
posts of Junior Engineer (Mechanical), advertised vide Notification No. 06 of 2022 dated
11.11.2022, under Item No.202, is hereby notified as per Annexure-A to this
Notification. It is further notified that

The above Provisional Seletion List shall be subject to outcome of writ

petition(s)/ application (s), if any, pending adjudication before any
Competent court of law.
ii. The Provisional Selection List shall also be subject to the outcome of any
pending nquiry, if any, involving candidate (s), figuring in this Provisional
List.

This is a Provisional List only and shall be subject to change as per the
objections as may be received against it and shall not confer any right for
final selection, which shall be notified after taking note of the objections
based on merit.

In case any candidate (s) is/are aggrieved with this Provisional List,
he/she may represent through the email address jemechanical2023@gmail.com
within three (03) days from the date of this Notification, beyond which no
representation shall be entertained. The email should necessarily include complete
details of the candidate including Name, Address, Application Id and an active
Contact number.
