As a long-term admirer of the work done by the team WSP, I am delighted to submit my application for the
BIM Specialist in digital solutions position posted on the company’s website. As I will be graduating in a
few months from Concordia University Montreal with an MENG in Construction Engineering and
Management, I am confident that my knowledge of Construction 4.0, experience in Building Information
Modeling (BIM), and precise attention to detail would make me an asset to the team at WSP. I have a
verifiable history of construction-related experience and I believe I possess the required skillset.

In my previous role as a Project Engineer at Barlas Engineering and Geological Complex, I excelled in
managing a variety of responsibilities. I have a strong background in utilizing AutoCAD drawings and
Revit models to streamline project planning and execution. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing
Quantity Take-Offs (QTOs) that contributed to accurate cost estimation and budget control. One of my core
strengths is effectively supervising day-to-day construction activities. I led a cross-functional team,
ensuring that project milestones were met on time and within budget. My ability to swiftly address site
related issues, coupled with my problem-solving skills, contributed to seamless project execution and client
satisfaction.

I also understand that WSP is seeking a Specialist in BIM acquainted with the Canadian construction
industry norms and protocols. While at Concordia University, I not only learned different management
techniques and tools used in the Canadian construction industry but also got the chance to apply them in
the real world. Through university projects, I collaborated with diverse teams and consistently delivered
innovative solutions. In my project management coursework, we tackled the Pembroke Affordable
MultiResidential Housing project in Ontario. I proposed utilizing a BIM approach, which involved creating
a 3D model in Revit, conducting clash detection in NavisWorks Manage, and preparing Quantity Take-
Offs (QTO). We then created the project schedule using MS Project and utilized it to create a 4D simulation
integrating the schedule with the 3D model.

As a bilingual candidate fluent in both English and French, I am well equipped to work in the multicultural
environment of Montreal and engage with clients and colleagues effectively in both official languages. I
am sure that this experience will help me pick up new skills and quickly excel as a BIM Specialist in digital
solutions at WSP.

I have attached my resume, which further details my skills and educational background. Please do not
hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about my background. I look forward to the opportunity to
speak with you further. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Fasih Ur Rehman
