2 in gold-mining village. Here is Correspondent Cqataleia Galarce.

3 NEWS PRESENTER: Rescuers are trying to find dozens of people missing after a

4 landslide caused by heavy rains. Covering the remote village,

5 the landslide has affected many people in Barangay Masara,

6 Maco, Davao de Oro. As of Febraury 11, 2024, a total of 54

7 deaths, 32 injured an around 80 are missing. Affected families

8 are still hopeful to see their missing loved ones alive.

12 landslides. Xyriel?

13 NEWS PRESENTER: A dog named Appa helped the rescuers find the people

14 that were hit by the landslide last Friday, February 9, 2024 in

15 Barangay Masara Maco, Davao de Oro. Coming from the

16 previous mission in Davao Oriental, Appa headed to Masara

17 with the Coast Guard District Southern Mindanao. They were

18 able to save a child survivor and found several trapped bodies
