A Writing Project
TOPIC : ABOUT DESCRIPTION OF A SPORTS
OUTLINE:
- Sport description : Football
- Football has long been recognized as a King sport when
the number of people watching and participating in
training matches exceeds that of other sports around the
world. So what are the reasons why this sport has such a
strong appeal and makes billions of people so passionate?
- What is football?
+ Football is a team sport played with a spherical ball
between two teams consisting of 11 players on each side.
It has around 250 million players in over 200 countries
and regions, making it the most popular sport in the
world.
- Who invented football?
- + According to many archival sources, professional
football began to emerge from England, with the
introduction of strict rules from the Football Association
in 1863. Since then, the articles of this sport gradually
completed and expanded. Up to the present time, football
has basically kept the same structure and overall goals as
in its infancy.
- However, before it became popular in England, football
was played on the lawns and vacant lots of construction
sites. The biggest difference is that there are no rules or
regulations here, so the matches are often quite chaotic.
- In fact, who invented football is still a big question mark,
however, Ebenezer Morley has been considered the
"father" of the Football League.

- He is the founder of Barnes Club, and it was his letter to

Bell's Life that prompted the historic meeting to establish
new rules. This event took place on October 26, 1863 at
the Freemasons' Tavern (Great Queen Street, London),
with the participation of representatives from 12 clubs
and the rules in football were quickly codified.
- Today, FIFA, founded in 1904 (41 years after the FA), is
the most powerful body in football.
IFAB (International Football Association Committee) -
run by FIFAa as well as the four British associations
(England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), is the
body responsible for the Laws of Football

- How to win ?
+ Athletes who participate in soccer are called players,
they use a spherical ball known simply as a soccer ball,
ball or ball. In a football match, two teams, each
consisting of 11 players, will try to put the ball into the
goal (also known as the goal), whichever team gets the
ball into the opponent's goal more (scoring more goals). )
will be the winner, if the two teams have the same
number of shots into the opponent's goal, or neither team
can do this, the match will end in a draw.
- Score In Football
+ In soccer matches, teams will compete to score the
most goals. A goal is scored when the ball goes
completely over the goal line of the football field, usually
between two vertical posts 7.32 m (24 feet) apart and also
usually under a 2.44-high crossbar. meters (8 feet). This
frame is also called the goal. The net is often attached to
the goal to catch the ball when scoring.
+ A goal is valid when the ball has completely crossed
the goal line between the goalposts and under the
crossbar if there has not been any previous violation of
the Goals Scorers Rule.
- Competition Rules
+ The rules of football are the system of rules used
uniformly in the sport of football, including official field
football, indoor football and beach soccer, applicable in
all countries. all around the world. From 1886 to the
present, it is officially managed by the International
Football Association Board.
- Some important rules
1. Pitch :
- A football field is a rectangular space where players play
against each other. They are 105m long and 68m wide.
The two longer vertical boundary lines are called
longitudinal boundaries.
- The two shorter lines are called the horizontal boundary.
The straight line drawn horizontally in the middle
dividing the court into two equal parts is called the
midfield line.
- Each team will defend their half of the field and attack
the opponent's side of the field. A circle drawn around
with a radius of 9m15 is called the central circle. At the
center of the field is the teeing point in the middle of the
field.
- In between the two goal lines at the end of the two ends
of the field is the goal area. This is a goal area with a
width of 7.32m and a height of 2.44m. Surrounding the
goal is the penalty area, also known as the 16m50 area.
This is the area where goalkeepers are allowed to use
their hands to catch the ball.
- Defensive players fouling in this area will be penalized.
The penalty kick will be taken from the penalty spot. It is
located in the center and 11m from the goal.
- Near the goal there is a smaller frame called the 5m50
area. This is where the tee shots are taken. At the 4
corners of the field are 4 corner points. The surface of the
11-a-side football field is usually natural grass or artificial
grass. They must be green.
2. Ball
The soccer ball must be spherical and made of leather or
an equivalent material. It consists of 5 sizes numbered
from 1 to 5. Size 5 is the standard ball used in
professional matches.
Players from 15 years old use balls of this size. Size 5
balls weigh between 410 and 450 g. They range in
circumference from 68 to 70cm and are inflated at a
pressure of 0.6 to 1.1. Smaller ball sizes are for age-
appropriate children's tournaments.
3. Number of players
Standard football matches will consist of 22 people
playing at the same time on the field. Each team consists
of 10 players and 1 goalkeeper. If each team has less than
7 players on the field, the match cannot take place.
According to the regulations of the World Football
Federation (FIFA), the official matches will allow the
substitution of up to 3 players (including the goalkeeper)
per match. So each team will usually have more than 11
players. Those who are already tired or injured will be
replaced by other players. They are called substitutes.

In youth leagues, the number of substitutes will increase.

In friendly matches (non-scoring matches, rubbing,
practice or performance) there is no limit to the number
of substitutes. However, the person who has been
replaced may not return to the playing field.
4. Player's equipment
Shoes are the first mandatory equipment that every
football player must have. Shoes used in 11-a-side
football are specialized football shoes. Players also need
socks and a pair of shin guards. The upper part should
completely cover the shin guard.

The players on a team will wear a uniform consisting of

shorts, a shirt (short or long sleeve). The goalkeeper will
have a separate outfit to distinguish it from the rest of the
team. The goalkeeper's outfit also includes clothes (long
or short) and a pair of gloves. The two teams will have
significantly different colors to distinguish them easily.
5. Time of each match
A standard football match will have a total of 90 minutes
of official play. This time is divided into 2 halves with
each round of 45 minutes. Each team will play on one
side of the field for one half and then switch sides in the
other.
The interval between halves is 15 minutes. This is the
time for the players to rest and listen to the coach's
instructions. The game is often interrupted due to injured
players or the ball going out of bounds. At that time, the
referee will add extra time after 45 minutes in each
half,and many more rules......
 The fun of football
Football is an extremely rewarding sport because it helps
us train teamwork. Football is also a combination of
health, agility, endurance, courage, intelligence , flexible
mind. This is a sport that teaches us many lessons about
physical training and moral character training. So even
though I'm not very good at football, I still enjoy
watching football because it's fun and tôi can learn their
professional football techniques.
