RE: ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

Following your application for admission into the University, Masinde Muliro University of
Science and Technology (MMUST) is pleased to offer you a place in the SCHOOL OF
ENGINEERING AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT (SEBE), for the programme leading to a
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (MECHANICAL AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING) which

commences on Thursday, 23th September, 2021.

This offer is made on the basis of statement of your qualifications as presented by the Kenya
National Examination Council (KNEC). To verify the authenticity of your qualifications, you are
required to present the following CERTIFIED documents to the Dean, SCHOOL OF
ENGINEERING AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT (SEBE)

(i) Original KCSE Results Slip or Certificate and a photocopy

(ii) Original National ID(or Birth Certificate)and a photocopy

(iii) Original Passport and Student`s Pass and copies(for foreign students)

Further instructions will be given in student`s portal for those reporting online.

Note that no student shall be admitted without these documents

The Students’ Admission Handbook, forms: MMU/2A, MMU/2B, MMU/3 and MMU/4 on our
MMUST students’ admission portal (admission.mmust.ac.ke). The forms should be completed
and submitted togather with original certificates for verification on reporting.

Form MMU/4 should be submitted at the health desk during registration. The student Handbook
must be thoroghly read,comprehended, be carried to all orientation meetings and kept for future
reference during your studies at MMUST.

No student shall be registered in the University without paying

fees.Tuition/Administration/Other Feesshould be paid in any of the following accounts:

Accommodation fees shall be paid after successfully booking for a room online. The online

booking of hostels shall commence on Saturday 4 th September, 2021 at 8.00am to 14 th

September, 2021 at 4.00pm and shall be on ‘first come first served’ basis.

Further, there is a course on virtues that is compulsory and leads to an award of certificate by
Internation body at a cost of Kshs. 600 (Six Hundred only).

Note that, Inter-Intra Campus/School transfers will be allowed within the first one week in
programmes where there is capacity.
