ABOUT US

Adva Therm is a Jordanian company established in 2012 after more than 25 years of personal
experience in Electrical systems, buildings, facilities maintenance and inspections.

Adva Therm has the experience, education, and the certification supported by internationally
recognized institutions. In our inspections we are using Infrared Thermal Imaging, which is
becoming more popular and widely used due to its outstanding technology and capabilities. As in
any method of nondestructive testing, the interpretation of the information gathered takes both
experience and knowledge.

Infrared Thermal Imaging is becoming a valuable and a must do activity to support commissioning
and running operations such as, for:-

○ Electrical and mechanical operations to avoid dangerous and catastrophic failures.

○ PV Solar systems to detect hot cells, defective strings and modules which reduce
efficiency and can cause failures.
○ Avoiding costly downtime and unnecessary repairs.
○ Establishing a legitimate preventive maintenance program.
○ Protecting your investment to save money.
○ Prioritizing order of maintenance with schedule shutdowns.
○ Recording and monitoring critical areas of operation.
○ Documenting and analyzing with professional field reports.
○ Locating and identifying possible problem sources and hot spots.
○ Increasing energy efficiency and contribute to a green society.
○ Meeting insurance requirements.

CERTIFICATIONS

As the requirement of international standards for thermography, the inspector should have at least
LEVEL 1 certification to be qualified for inspections. We have levels 1, 2 and 3 Thermography
Certifications, specialized in electromechanical systems, PV systems and building envelopes,
which enrich our knowledge and experience in this field. For training certifications the trainer is
Level 3 Certified IR Thermographer.

ASNT Recommended Practice

Levels of Qualification
Most certification programs have three levels of NDT qualification: Level I, Level
II and Level III. Because the requirements for the levels are very similar, the
descriptions provided here are from the 2006 edition of the ASNT
Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A.

An NDT Level I individual should be qualified to properly perform specific

calibrations, specific NDT and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection
determinations according to written instructions and to record results. The NDT
Level I should receive the necessary instruction and supervision from a certified
NDT Level II or III individual.

An NDT Level II individual should be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment

and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards
and specifications. The NDT Level II should be thoroughly familiar with the scope
and limitations of the methods for which they are qualified and should exercise
assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT
Level I personnel. The NDT Level II should be able to organize and report the
results of NDT tests.

An NDT Level III individual should be capable of developing, qualifying and

approving procedures, establishing and approving techniques, interpreting
codes, standards, specifications and procedures, as well as designating the
particular NDT methods, techniques and procedures to be used. The NDT Level
III should be responsible for the NDT operations for which they are qualified and
assigned and should be capable of interpreting and evaluating results in terms of
existing codes, standards and specifications. The NDT Level III should have
sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication and product
technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance
criteria when none are otherwise available. The NDT Level III should have
general familiarity with other appropriate NDT methods, as demonstrated by an
ASNT Level III Basic examination or other means. The NDT Level III, in the
methods in which they are certified, should be capable of training and examining
NDT Level I and II personnel for certification in those methods.

SOME OF OUR PROJECTS

1 - AMMAN MARRIOTT

Project location Amman, Jordan

A 292 rooms hotel with a 12 floors having 60 electrical main

panels .

Our scope was to inspect all the panels by using infrared

thermography with reporting and analysis for international
auditing requirements.
Page - 12

2- ASTRACO

1- ASTRACO ,A 24 MWp Solar PV

Plant in Ma'an development area, a
project owned by Alcazar Energy
consists of the following:

-72,162 Photovoltaic modules mounted

on a tracking system structure.
-16 Inverter cabins each consisting of
Re-combiner boxes, two inverters and
one transformer.

-1 Delivery station & Control room ( MV

Switchgear and Step-up transformers)

Our scope was to inspect the whole

project using infrared thermography for
all the MV and LV DC/AC Electrical
panels in addition to the PV modules.
Analyze and report with recommended
solutions and repair procedures
according to international standards for
all heat anomalies.
Page - 13

3 - AL MANASEER OIL AND GAS

Project location : All Cities, Jordan

Consisted of around 40 Gas stations spread over the main cities and high ways from the northern
borders to Aqaba. Every station consists of underground tanks for Benzene octane 95 & 90,
Diesel and Kerosene . Electrical controls, and distribution boards also are already included.

Our scope was to inspect by Infrared camera all underground tanks top manholes for vapor
leakage, while recording the results as images and videos. Also including inspections for all
electrical panels with a final technical and analysis report describing all heat anomalies with the
proper suggested remedies according to international standards.

4- AS-SAMRA WASTE WATER

TREATMENT PLANT

Project location:- Zarka City, Jordan

As-Samra WWTP consists of a primary settling

tank, eight aeration tanks, eight secondary
settling tanks, four anaerobic sludge digesters,
biogas and hydro-powered generators, and an
odor control system.

The aeration tanks, secondary settling tanks,

and anaerobic sludge digesters tanks are all
pre-stressed with the DYWIDAG Strand
Tendons.

The WWTP receives 80% of its electricity needs

through the combination of hydraulic turbines
and gas turbines powered by digestion biogas.
The remaining 20% comes from the national
grid.

Our scope was to conduct customized training

for electrical and mechanical maintenance
engineers on site, in addition to one full day field
practice.

MEFRAQ, JORDAN

Cementra plant is located in Mafraq

Governorate, 60 km northeast of Amman.
The plant production capacity is 2 million
tons of clinker / year and 2.4 million tons of
cement / year.

Our scope was to train 9 engineers for a

certification level of thermography with an
onsite practice on different systems and
stages.
